Ok, I know I'm going to get excoriated for this but, and this is just my opinion. When I listen to Celine, to me there is a slight nasal tone to her voice, not taking anything away from her fine singing abilities. Barbara has that Brooklyn accent, and endearing as it may be, when you hear Lara and the clarity in her enunciation to my musical discernment she is the best!❤

Nobody and I mean NOBODY today can come close to what Beth can do. She gives off a Janis Joplin vibe, but has better vocal range and control. The young female artists with their crappy lyrics and auto tune and computerized music makes me want to vomit. None of them come close to Beth, in fact all of their talent (if you can call what they do talent) added together, wouldn't equal to the talent Beth has. This woman should get far more credit than what she does. I have personally introduced Beth's music to many of my friends, and they all said the same thing.. Why have I not heard of her before ?? Beth is by far the best female vocalist out there, and she has fought her ass off to be where she is today. I listen to Beth everyday to start my day.. along with a cup of coffee.. As a live sound engineer, who also sings BGV's....I actually am NOT a metal fan. However, from the moment I heard Phil, more than a year ago, I was hooked on Small Town Titans! As a fellow Pennsylvania resident, these guys make me very proud and are the best musical rock trio to ever come out of York, PA!! As a lover of vocals, enunciation, and harmonie Phil Freeman, unlike most metal lead vocalists, has an absolutely incredible range. When he screams and hits his high notes they are absolutely flawlessly pitch perfect, and no metal band frontman (without studio enhancement) can perfectly enunciate every single word, with spot-on intelligibility, especially when in scream mode! Don't even get me started when it comes to his breath control and ability to sustain!! Since the first STT song I ever heard called "Rufflin' Feathers", I was a fan, and messaged them to tell them so! I now proudly own ALL their CD's, one of which is signed, and you must treat yourself to go listen to the harmonies the three of them do together on their latest single "Finish The Story"!! When I heard that completed track, I loved it even more than the best version of "The Grinch" ever recorded by anyone, which I love your reaction too!!

Yes, you are absolutely right. Most Filipino singers do NOT have formal training. It is just part of the culture to encourage to children at a very young age. Of course, there are a very few exceptions such as Leah Salonga and a few others. After being discovered, some go through some sort of training at their own expense. Gigi is so versatile because she does different genres and actually makes the song her own.she even has a Rock medley and many more! Thank you for reacting to Filipino singers.

❤ Christi sweetheart so you insist wondering why Lara is not as famous as C.Dion in USA though you should have known the reason. You may ask Mrs Dion, she knows the reason better than anybody else because her husband as the boss of Sony Music had blocked Lara's career in the Un.States to protect his wife from an "enemy". Lara's albums are "not available" in USA since 90's. And C.Dion was probably aware of that crime if not she asked for it. And Lara as far as I know never spoke in public about this.
