That’s what inspired the bake offs: I'll pick a subject like chocolate chip cookies or banana bread and test of 9-12 some of the most popular internet recipes. A bunch of tasters will help me rate each of the recipes, and ultimately I crunch the data to find the best recipes of the bunch.

that's great, I hate the taste of light egg on meringues.

I personally avoid vegan dessert recipes that use tofu in them, don't want my dessert tasting like tofu, so when you dropped that tofu in there I was like yep bye
You can potentially get the tofu taste minimised by replacing the tofu with soy milk. You'd just need to bring soy milk to an almost boil and then strain it in a cloth

Modern “key limes” are nothing like the original key limes, and they are grown in the worst kind of soil that makes them wayyy more sour and less sweet than they were when the recipe was made. They’re also much smaller Just using the zest of key limes with the juice of persian limes is perfect. You get the aromatics from the zest while the juice isn’t overly tart
🤷♀️ I'm confused. I just clicked the link for Butternut Bakery recipe, and it is different from the ingredients shown at 12:18 and from what is stated are the ingredients. It is showing 1 3/4 cups All purpose flour. (Not bread and cake flour, as I believe is stated here, as well as shown at approximately 12:18) I must say that this is quite disappointing. 😞 I am wondering how many of the other videos show varying recipes from what was verbally described here as being the ingredients.

I think you used the wrong card for Ted Lasso. It says rice flour, granulated sugar, no chill, twice baked. All of that is wrong. Edit: It looks like that was the card from Season and Suppers that got inserted twice.

I have NEVER uttered the words, "...this is TOO sweet"😆 More likely, "...this is NOT sweet enough😋 Asians don't usually eat things that are appropriately SWEET, they think a RICE cake is too sweet, so I think the one described as "too sweet" would be more suited for ME😊

Yum! I’m allergic to strawberries so I always sub raspberries in recipes. This is right up my alley! What’s better than custard, raspberries, and chocolate all in a buttery crust??
I make tres leches cake and I try to add less condensed milk because it makes it extremely sweet and the sponge cake already has up to two cups on sugar depending on the size ofc. For the whipped cream do not use egg white creams because it’s way to sweet. It’s better to use a grocery store whipped cream that is already prepared. Using strawberries helps to balance the flavors too. I know all this because in Mexico they make the best cakes and you just can’t stop eating them because the sweetness is very balanced.
The zest adds lime flavor vs the juice which is lime acidity

I don't know any of these, but Dr. Oetker had a pre-made "Backmischung" that my mum loved. Unfortunately years ago it was either taken down or replaced. My mum can now only taste Marmorkuchen when dad makes it (very rarely). I am still thinking about finding one that comes close to it. I can only know by tasting haha. But so far in Luxembourg and Germany I haven't found one close to the old one. Thank you for testing! Even though I don't understand the differences by terms. Wish I could make my mum happy with finding one very similar so she can make it herself not relying on dad. We had great memories making it with her as children ♡ Thank you for the warm nostalgia wave before I wemt to sleep❤

Absolutely loved the video! I can’t believe I somehow watched the full two hours in one sitting but I’m happy you tried to play devil advocate and mention where people went too far. I’m not sure what’s the right answer for Jojo and how she was treated on the show, with Colleen ect if she doesn’t feel taken advantage of, other than…pity I guess? But there obviously a difference between that and her downplaying what others have gone through, I feel sympathy since if she doesn’t feel like a victim I understand why to her others aren’t either but that doesn’t make it right

@@icxcnika2her original recipe actually calls for a Bundt pan so that should be perfectly fine! I just wanted an extra tall loaf cake and luckily the full recipe worked perfectly

You can make Sarah Kieffer without an overnight proof (though they still take awhile). Tastes of Lizzy t is probably the fastest and v good!
