You may want to consider laying brick face tiles in the closed up fireplace box alcove, so that it just looks like a clean fireplace. Then you can lay birch logs, led candles, or perhaps a fern inside the box and then a decorative fire screen in front of it.

Several chateaus that are being renovated have chiseled out a channel in the stone and plaster to run the electrical conduit and wires and then plastered or replaced the paneling over it. This way all the wiring is hidden. It is extra work and messy, but it looks really good. Chateau de la Ferte just posted several videos on this subject and Escape To The Dream, Restoring The Chateau (Chateau de la Lacelle) have many videos on this topic, also.

I agree, it is a beautiful walk! However, I would not be happy to walk that in high heels. Nor would I want to wear tennis shoes with a nice dress. The option of a shuttle to transport those who would prefer not to walk would be a good compromise.

Beautiful place….i will be really interested in seeing it when you cut the grass. Some areas in the alley are a sheer drop which may require fencing for safety reasons. People have a tendency to walk everywhere. bonne journée 🇺🇸

Another surprise on this beautiful property. The cleaning up of trees and wild shrubs around the tower will be a significant undertaking……well worth it in the end. You could also consider inviting metal detectorists to come and search for old artifacts and put them in a collection somewhere for all to see and have the finder's name and where it was found on a plaque next to the item. A written agreement to this effect that they know they do not own what is found but will get credit for the find may be wise. Along all routes ever used to get to the Château regularly and the grounds could yield interesting things. There is a good chance there is also a dumping site on the grounds somewhere that could yield other interesting things!

To enhance the beauty of the Linden tree walk I would replace all the missing trees!

Beautiful rooms! The boiseries are lovely - their faded color looks fine on my laptop (which is probably way off). The phrase "Marital suite", while perfectly correct English, has a very formal ,old, archaic sound to it (think 17th century). Wedding, Bridal or Honeymoon suite all would be more commonly heard modern terms.
