My 18th c. chateau was built by Jean-Pierre Galezot, the most famous architect of the region Franche-Comté !
Why do I have my bedrooms on the first floor ?
Why do I have a corridor ?
Why do I have a summer living-room ?
Why are all my living rooms communicating together ?
I am answering all of these questions in this video !

Would you like to know more about the architecture of my chateau ?
Yes please love hearing those stories, personal insights, how things were for the people of those times and how you can see the changes in the chateau and/or the people who lived there. Mind you, I like to hear about the common people too, the gardeners, laundry maids (not that they are likely to have left their marks, but still), the farmers who took care of the animals and the land. Thanks for the offer, I know it takes a lot of research
Oui!
Wonderful history of your beautiful home
Many thanks! And I have actually even much more to say, keeping it for next time.
Excellent explanation!

It's the most incredible view of the region! We are very lucky
Thank You! Excellent explanatory video of the architecture and planning of the 18th century.

Interesting thanks for sharing!
Many thanks! And I have actually even much more to say, keeping it for next time.
Good morning. Well this explains much. I’ve often seen, in videos, windows dissected by stairs and wondered the reasoning behind it. Thanks for the explanation. No apologies needed for “mess”. It’s a home, not a museum.
Glad the video was useful!! 😉
Absolutely!
Many thanks! And I have actually even much more to say, keeping it for next time.
So both an enfilade and a corridor. Cool. LOVE the backstory to the architecture and the cultural mores.
Thanks !! Yes the architecture tells a lot about the building!
That is fascinating - thank you
Welcome !
Learn something new every day! p.s. people who get unsettled w/ heights do not handle looking down well. My mother was that way whole life. Suggest maybe just record out & away rather than straight down!
Hello, I am sorry but I didn't understand the meaning of what you said. May you say it in a different way ?
@ my mother had issues w/ heights trynot show the camera viewing going down i.e. looking down on the trees you don't have that problem but those that do it upsets them. I finally got Mom to look out & not down she would panic! hope this makes better sence now.
Can you share the names of some books you read am also a fan of château’s
