Awesome don't forget to think about using French grey/gray in those rooms - luv it!

Greetings from Florida. So many projects! The smaller rooms look spartan. I would overcome the size issue with luxury and comfort. Layers of fabrics. Bold colors and patterns. Statement art pieces. Best of luck.

    •  Před rokem

Agree ! We are trying to make them clean and fresh first, then, there will be a time to upgrade them 🙂

Hi! The word « plinthe » in french is « baseboard » in english. I’m from Québec, Canada. Toi et Sophie faites un travail incroyable, bravo!!!!

Merci beaucoup pour ce mot, je vais essayer de m'en souvenir 😉

You know, your castle is truly a magical place, however your passion comes through in the way you describe every tiny feature. It’s truly a beautifully preserved piece of history. I know you probably will never finish restoring it, but you lovingly using it every day and also sharing it with so many others.

    •  Před rokem

Yes, I am truly in love with it 😊

I believe the word you are looking for is "hinges". I'm looking forward to seeing how the bathrooms turn out.

      Many thanks 🥰

Definitely each bathroom must have a window and not a bad idea to make them open from left to right and vice versa!

    •  Před rokem

Thanks! Looking forward to see it finished 🙂

Kind of funny you forget what's happening in a room. So many projects and so many rooms, you must have a huge running list of what projects need to be done and when. It must be fun though when you see each room evolve into a usable space. I always love seeing before and after projects. I love the old floors - glad you keep them.

    •  Před rokem +1

Yes, the project list is sooo long, I do forget what was happening in each room. To save some time, I also jump from one project to another (typically when one is missing some parts, or needs to dry, etc...)

I do not know how you do it! May God Bless and sustain you! Consider, if there are so many bedrooms, I would recommend not dividing a small bedroom into two bathrooms but one spacious bathroom. I believe your visitors will appreciate the space. I hesitate saying so but always end up doing so!❤

The last bridle suit the bathroom looks so big maybe doing a hair and makeup station for the bride and bride maids ! Also a very large showers and double vanity marbles top also a big bathtub you have so much room in that corner of the château

    •  Před rokem

Yes I fully agree ! It is a super big room. We are actually planning a makeup place just next to this room (for all women in staying in the chateau and for the bride if she wants it), but the bride will also have her own makeup station inside the suite, so she can choose 🙂

It is six thirty here in Ohio, USA. As I am an early riser, your videos appear at the start of the day. As always, love seeing various works in progress. The view is exquisite and walking through the alley of Lindens will be a anticipated video.

were the rooms always that small? I love the look but they are pretty small.

    •  Před rokem +1

No they were not, the nuns have modified them in the 19th century in order to double the number of bedrooms.
