It looked like fun, a nice relaxing float, catching a few fish, then the rapids had to ruin it. At least you made it through safe. Tackle and equipment can always be replaced.

I don't do kayaks at my age, but it looked like a blast before the rapids! Good results with the white grubs (always a solid choice) and I think I saw a rooster tail too! Always a good lure for multiple species!

Next time I want to see yinz ride the kayaks down the boat launch 😅

Interesting there's trout fishing. I used to catch them when I was your age. Back then we could still eat what we caught. These days I go hiking by the waterways with a small shovel and a backpack. You never know what you'll find near those little creeks across America where trout go into the little creeks. Some of my biggest trout were caught in shallow creeks. You'ld think they could go in them, generally they don't.

I don’t fly fish as often as I would like. It’s great once you get the hang of it. I typically do a trip each fall for the salmon run and use fly gear.

so you did ok at jones mill same thing happened to me at jacobs last week all most all the fish hey stocked were browns and they can be finickey the only thing they would hit was live minnows with i had saved the day jones can be tuff with that gin clear water and browns awww i do miss my brookies

bro some way i think i no you are you or a family member a member of police rod and gun club or did you go to hempfield any way i subed you we went up to bedford for 1st day and it was also a blow out i caught fish but they were hitting like 2 feet off the bank all day i got 8 or 9 i give you a lot of credit when we were heading up to bedford friday i said theres no f------ way any one is fishing hanna 1st day one great thing about every thing being blown out is there are so many fish in the streams i fished mill ck this past thur the 9th of may and i caught over 25 easy in about 4 hours when iwas your age every kept there fish now it seems like 90% of the guys let them go with keeps more fish in the water i am leaving tomorrow for a week in potter co and some awsome fly fishing any how tight lines bro

they used to put a lot more fish in loyahanna than they do now laurel hill still gets stocked ok i am pissed off that they dont put brookies in any more just dont seem right catching rainbows out of linn run aww the good old days the rainbow mafia of the fish comm has taken over
