Lovely result. Funny but i thought of dojng this a few months ago, but couldnt bring myself to "waste" one of my dutch pours. So carried on keeping my oil portraits separate. But now I see there is so much potential, definitely going tp try it. What size canvas was this?

Very beautiful, but the honeycomb effect was just too much for this specific portrait. The background was perfect without it. ( thats just my taste but I find this need to add in too much fluff just detracts from the actual painting, instead of enhancing it) You are clearly talented ! I see this technique taught at the Milan art institute and really think it has just been overused.

Huge fan of your work!! Amazing painting. How do u lighten values with transparent oil? I have semi-transp white I mix with paints but that’s it. I haven’t tried galkyd gel tho, I’ve only used alkyd walnut oil and turpentine. Thanks!!
