30 Minute Painting Challenge! Watch Me Panic!

- Hello everyone!
I thought it would be fun to do a 30-minute painting challenge and have my lovely fiancé come up with the idea. Turns out, it's not easy to paint someone else's idea without a sketch or reference in a limited time. This was truly a challenge. However, it was so much fun to try and figure it out with my wonderfully supportive partner.
We had a lot of laughs and despite the fact that I was panicking slightly, it was still an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend trying something like this. My left brain didn't have enough time to over-analyze everything and I had to move quickly without over-thinking.
I wish we had not let the cameras run out of time because those last moments of panic were pretty intense and humorous. If I do this again, I will definitely be more on the ball in that department.
I hope you enjoyed the video and at least found it entertaining. It's not the best painting I've ever done, but it is the quickest!

This reminds me of how I was the first time I did something like this. In fact I participated in a 10 minute painting. Insane! I did an octopus in watercolor. It's actually what brought me out of a decades long hibernation as an artist. So, I highly recommend it too. Loved watching you guys! So cute!

1 - that was amazing, it really turned out great, especially to be done in 30 minutes
2 - the “working the path” part was my favorite 😂😂
3 - from now on, “These pumpkins are CRAP!” will be my proclamation every time I pass a pumpkin of any sort
4 - I would not at all mind more videos with him included, def added another element of entertainment 😂

I do that as well painting quickly or timed without references and you are right it makes you think and respond quickly!! I like watching y’all together!!
It turned out great! I think this is a great challenge! Maybe you could do a mini series, using the same theme but giving yourself progressively longer each time? You've done 30 mins, maybe do the same again with a 2 hour limit, then again with unlimited time, and at the end compare the results! See how the energy, movement, composition etc varies according to time constraints. I think it could be cool! Also, I love watching longer real time videos, the timelapse ones can make it look so much easier than it actually is! 💗

This was HYSTERICAL! I really love your personality (atleast 30 yr younger version of myself in many ways) and this allowed a much more spontaneous glimpse of that. It was also fascinating to watch your thinking process and your application of that, paint to canvas. Great fun...Great insight. 💙

Dear Lydia. That was kind of an interesting challenge you put yourself through, and the outcome was amazing and impressing.
However, stress - and all that cortisol, adrenaline, and other stress hormones that are released in the body during stress - are extremely toxic and damaging to our health, so we should all do our utmost to avoid stress at all cost. We are first these years realizing how damaging stress - particularly long term stress - actually is.
It can induce all kinds of terrible diseases e.g. heart attacks, strokes, cancer, a weakened immune system, diabetes, burn out, autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, and sudden death.

You two were so fun to watch, but now I need to calm down. I kept sitting farther and farther forward in my chair, like that was going to help you paint faster. My cat left the room when I turned to her and said in a not serene voice, "there's not going to be anything there but a witch's hat!" She doesn't want you to do this again, but I do. I'll just try to remember I'm not involved in the process.

I loved this challenge! Painting is awesome and so interesting to see it all come together in real time. I kept thinking ...no way as I watched the clock tick down.... 4 mins to get the witch in ...omg I was on the edge of my seat. Absolutely loved it. Please do another one 💕💞💕

The 2 of you are hysterical. Nothing but support from him. (Well trained. 😂) In 30 minutes I would be lucky to complete a "pour" on a "4X4". I apologize for an unusual obsession with you. Even on a tiny (just for fun) thing...your thought process fascinates me....

That was great! As fast as you paint in “real life”, and I know you do, that time crunch was challenging! I liked seeing an actual painting emerge from a bunch of color...it looked like it might never come together in time! Nice seeing the two of you conversing during the pressure of the challenge...Clever to do the witch from the back...truly getting down to the last few seconds I’m sure❤
