Oh yea! Fall! I celebrate with you the coming of the new season! I’m happy for your pitts! Hey Mr Poe! Love this one sooo much!
Thank you Charlotte!!!❤
Nice painting; interesting composition with the black/darks against the lighter colors.
Love the autumn painting..its spring here in South Africa and sooo warm already😢... Autumn is my favourite season as well
Wow, you knocked out an amazing piece of art in 3 hours!!! I really liked the loose technique used in a lot of this painting. That's something I struggle with, & the details get me all the time. I love this painting, crows, & the fall season. Fantastic!!
Thank you so much! Yeah... It's something I still struggle with on occasion. It's the annoying battle of the left and right brain.😵😃
@@lydiabroderick867 I think my left & right brain wanna murder each other sometimes! 😄🤷
Fabulous use of the payne’s gray.
Lydia, you are so very talented and charming. I truly love your instructional videos (and wish I were one-tenth as gifted as you are). Please keep them coming, often!
Thank you so much!❤😊
Autumn is my favorite season, too. The crispy air feel hasn't quite arrived in my part of Colorado, but the Canada geese are slowly settling in (one of my favorite birds). Looking forward to hearing them gather together each night - the only honking I enjoy. Love your painting - I've yet to see you paint anything that didn't wow me. Even though you didn't paint a raven, I think Poe was watching with approval (I'm sure he loved your mug, too - I want me one).
Thank you Mary! My response is delayed, but better late than never. Did you spot my Poe bobble head in the background? He was in fact watching!😄 Colorado.... I would assume that you get some serious snow in the winter, but I have never been there so my assumptions are based on the picture in my mind of mountains, ski country etc.❤❤❤
Edgar there beside you would be proud!! And do you know what? So are the rest of us!! You're an awesome painter Lydia, leagues ahead of me, however it's kind nice to know that even a professional has trouble with bird feet..!!! Makes me feel not so alone!! lol
Whoa The development of the depth of that background was my favorite part for sure. Really mesmerizing and insightful 💙👏🏽
Oh my goodness! I love this one so much! If you ever turn this into a print or anything, I’m so there! Payne’s Grey is one of my favorite colors so hearing your tips on how to contrast that color was really helpful. 🖤
It’s a good day when I see you have put out a new video….. great painting.
Thank you Gina!!!❤
Omg. I just love that painting.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing. Only 3 hours.....huh. Me thinketh thou art rushing in Fall as well 🙂 Trick or treat!
Astonishing! I love watching your videos and learn so much. Love crows as well. I'd love to have this one in my home
Thank you so much😊 Crow lovers unite! Email me lydiabroderickfineart@gmail.com if you would like to purchase it!😊❤
That is stunning as always, I have many crows, jackdaws and rooks who come and pick under my bird feeders, I love seeing them. I have been thinking about painting them, you have inspired me. Thanks 😊
We definitely need more corvid paintings in the world! 🎨 I need to create a crow emoji for all of us corvid lovers! ❤
@@lydiabroderick867 Sounds a great idea 😬
My fave bird!! So clever.
I really love that! It took only three hours to paint, and that blows my mind! KA-boom! I💜crows! They clean up roadkill, they warn other birds when raptors are near, they will often chase raptors away, and the way they walk makes me smile. Ditto re pits. I’m so very tired of being damp.
You are very talented, and a joy to watch.
Thank you!❤
Love it!! Thank you Lydia!
I've just watched the last 6 videos while the autumn weather in Scotland is blowing a gale outside haha ... I too love autumn but I think possibly because it is my natural camouflage 🧡👩🏻🦰 ❤ love all your art .... super love this one 😊
Thank you Willow! Natural camouflage😃 I love it!😁❤
Of all the YT videos I watch, I look forward to yours the most! Lovely work, as always.
Thank you Jackie❤❤❤ That means a lot!😊
That background with the drips is a work of art on its own. ❤
I have collection of crows feathers that I’ve found. They are messages from spirit.
Me too I thought it was weird to think they were messages but hay I’m not the only person who thinks that
Actually I like crows as well, I find they’re very intelligent 🤓
Fantastic work as usual & luv that sense of humour 😀👏
Thank you Stephen!!!😊
I like crows because they're like me, they like shiny things.😅
😄😄😄❤
Love everything, the quick impressionistic style, the autumn colours and the crow, love intelligent birds.!
Your quirky personality always make my smile👌🏻🙌🏻💖🎨
Will save the video for March to have the autumn feeling go with it as in New Zealand we’re having spring now-whoop whoop 🙌 Awesome video!
Enjoy the spring Tamara! And thank you!❤
Loved it and can’t wait to try it !! Love idea of using squeegee!! I would have just put a leaf to partially cover the feet 😂lol
Thank you 🙏🥰🖤 Love from Norway 🇳🇴🍂🐾
Damn, you are good, girl, I loved that, and I wish I could paint like you. That was gorgeous and the colors are awesome. I really loved it, you are so talented.
Thank you Laurie!!!❤
The lighting came out so well! Because landscapes are “not your thing”, it’s so cool how you made this (very fast) forest scene, with corvid of course! Love the painting… I love the way you communicate the details without 5 million tiny brush strokes… Which is what I would’ve done! You have so surpassed my autumnal painting attempt!😊
Thank you! I am far too impatient for tiny brush strokes😄❤
Wow, that is stunning, the colour, light & depth, wonderful 👏👏👏
Awsome as usual
🖤❤🧡❤🖤
Gorgeous
Looks awesome - great depth to this. ❤
Amazing painting!! I couldn’t wait for the fall and knowing it’s your season too! The spooky 👻 is right around the corner! Excited to see what you do! Happy fall Lydia! 🍁🧌🧟♀️ …and you’re great at crows feet!
Love it! Keep it coming❤
Аmazing 😍 Thank you !
Thanks for enabling my Corvid addiction. Love the juxtaposition of Paynes gray with the oranges. Totally Autumn. Hugs.
Thank you Jean! We can be Corvid addicts together!😊❤
Beautiful fall colors and amazing painting, Lydia!❤️🌹
Love this …… even if it is spring here in Australia 😅…………. Love the way you turn a blank canvas into something truly amazing, and that you share with everyone how it’s done. 🥰❤️
I’m glad to see your channel growing more and more! ❤ Hope you’re doing well Lydia 😊.
Dear Lydia. I've read somewhere on one of your SoMes that you occationally suffer from headaches. Well, so do I. Then it strucked me that my easel stands in my office with a huge canvas I recently have painted several times with gesso. It doesn't smell of anything after a day or two, but it does actually yield plenty of toxic fumes. So there I was in my office working for hours on a book I'm writing. During the night and several days afterwards I had this wicked headache, brain fog, dizzyness, and nausea I couldn't get rid of. Then I realized it could be the paint, so I moved the easel and all my paint and mediums into a separate room and closed the door. Then aired my entire home thoroughly, spent most of the day outside - and that helped - headache etc. gone. Since you paint a lot, your headache could probably be due to toxic paint fumes as well. Give it a thought.
I wish you the best health ever - plus happy and healthy painting - perhaps outside?
I love Crows, fantastic art work
I am waiting for your videos breathlessly... ❤
Woot woot! So excited to see another video. Absolutely love it! 🥰 gets me so inspired.
Thank you Joanna! I'm so glad!❤
Caw cawww! Loved watching you paint and chat about your process. Do you use sources or compile them as you go along? The composition is wonderfully balanced. Happy Autumn 🍂
Yay a new video! Love this but especially love your explanations-it really helps as I step my toes out of fluid acrylics, so thanks! ❤
Beautiful!! ❤
Brilliantly orchestrated ❤👌🏻
what a lovely painting!
lol…you’re hilarious!
What brand of canvases are you using?
Love your sense of humor and your painting style. Thanks for sharing. 💖
