Maybe one day, but for now its just a dream.
lol this boats worth 200k now
I think choosing a yacht that offers shade at the helm and some protection from the elements is critical for long trips.
I like the idea of having a boat for island hopping for a few days and coming back home. At least as a starter boat.
Brilliant. I've never sailed a yacht but would love to some day, I did however work mechant Navy and American Merchant marine for 30 years , 76 countries world over. My 2nd ever trip we encountered a force 12 off the UK, 20m seas, Like you have never been sea sick but I will never forget that storm , we were on a vessel built for the North Sea and it got trashed , most were sick / I wasn't but it scared the life out of me. I'm getting on a bit now in life but one day intend to buy a small yacht. Great channel !! BTW Woring in bermuda some 25 years ago I got to know a Sailor who had an amazing 55 foot new yacht out there , went aboard and decided I wanted to buy a small yacht, his advise was just like yours , Buy and ex charter , don't waste your money on old stuff
hey Chris, great work here. thanks for the info! curious where the early clips of the Cats in the bays with the cool rocks on the shore is? looks kinda like Virgin Gorda, but different. thanks if anyone has some info.
It pronounced Ibitha ( Ibiza ) , bit like people saying Ganayda when it's Granada
THIS is now my favorite yotube yacht channel Sir you made me laugh and learn alot at the same time. 👏👏👏
Moet een waterbed en een ligbad hebben.😂
Question? Do you have any suggestions on how to find a decent insurance company for cruising with no experience
edward williams if in the carribean
Bullshite.
Fish on, fish on ohh well that was a thought

We're going that way ! 😂👍 That's sailor talk 😎
I have the year 2030 pegged for a possible boat purchase so the Océanis 41 will be approaching 20yo at that point. I gotta get my wife & I out on some boat deliveries to ensure we find the lifestyle to our liking. (I thought the Moody was your favorite brand?)
Do Float planes have the Right of Way in Navigational waterways?
How you linking that Leopard Capt. Ron? 😁
I'm probably gonna get a passport. Hire this guy teaching you how to sail on my boat.I'm looking right now at an Oceanas. 34.1
Are raised cabin saloons warmer than the typical sailboat? (seems like they get a lot more interior sunlight)
Chris looks like a new option for you, parking lessons lol
My office does not have the same view I don't know why, ohh maybe I am still on land somewhere in Idaho
Wow didn't know the office had a hotel with it, check me in boss LOL
Great pillows!! Elayna will be so jealous!!
Thank you
I like your direct message and realness calling out CZcamsrs that’s faking the funk. Your perspective is refreshing. New subscriber here✊🏾
I have a dometic on my sailboat and would never be without air.
😂😂😂 at least their channel is more bikinis than drama!!
Beautiful cat!! 😍😍
Nice a troll post!
LoVe IT!!!!
Dis good shit man. Subbed
Chris, you keep saying the things I thought watching these youtube channels. Are these people ever going sailing? Do they love fixing boats more than sailing?
Spot on-> bikinis and drama... And months on the boatyard.
Beautiful location!!
Suicide, mission
Thank you for objective common sense !
Beautiful yacht
My preference would be aft cockpit, prior to watching the video
Thanks, but where is the questionnaire link?
I was there a couple years back
I try to never be envious nor jealous. But sometimes I really can’t stand you, no matter how hard I try not to.
Thank you for breaking down the actaul real numbers for regular folks !
repair boats can be fine, but beware boats repaired from hurricane damage because the folks doing the repairs are flooded with work all at once and are in a rush. shoddy repairs are a real thing. especially for charter companies. it can be handled, but takes some extra work. a boat repaired from an everyday grounding not right after a hurricane is less risky.
Thanks!
Wow... just heard about your channel... and watched enough to know I'm totally not interested. Anyone who feels the right to call anyone names such as "potato for brains" and "that moron"... to name few... Well, NO ONE knows is all bud. I don't GAF how long you done anything, you cannot know it all, much less treat others like that because you think you do. I've been on the water my WHOLE LIFE... 63 years now. I retired in '21 and now liveaboard fulltime on a '95 Gozzard 44 MK1 "A"... I have focused on sailing as race crew for the last 8 years... so yea, I know a thing or two... and one thing I have learned in all that time... is that a little humility, respect for others and respect for different experiences and opinions goes much farther than the way you present yourself here. YOU are the definition of a "UTOOB sailor". So in that respect, yea, yer right... YOU are a joke. Go ahead, block me. You at least had to read this to get to that point, so I've has my say. People don't help anymore. They are trying to get images at all costs.
I hope you live a long life so that i can get some advice from you down the line when I have the money. 18 year old thinking of sailing in my 30s. I have to finish school and get a job for a few year first though.
Back in the 90s, there was a bar in an old highset building next to the ferry dock on St Thomas. It was called the $10 bar. You'd pay $10 and the bartender would give you a bottle of spirits of your choice, and a bucket of ice. Coke, ginger ale etc cost more than the spirits. I worked on sail yachts for seven years all around the world as a chef. Ive sold my restaurant of 18 years and I wouldn't mind doing it again.
It could be worse
This the most practical and helpful video I have seen in regards to boat buying.
