Loop station Live Session | RC-505 & Akai MPK Mini
4 years ago I uploaded my first performance using a loop station on youtube. I didn't expect it to be watch by many people. For me it was very impressive to reach more than 1000 views. Today it has more than 200K.
Sometimes in social media we get carried away with views, comments and likes. We think if the content hasn't much interaction with the audience maybe it was not really good, and we have to change the perspective on what we do. I think that happens to most of us sometime along the way, and that is really frustrating. Because we are not creating what we want to create, but what we think (and we don't really know that) people would like to watch.
CZcams and other platforms work on algorithms. If the algorithm for some reason is good, your video is pushed out to the people. I have 1 video on this account with more than 1 million views, and some others that reach only 3K. And in my opinion more views doesn't neccesarily mean that a video is better than another one.
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate your support. 😊
My point with this is that it doesn't really matter how many views, likes, subs/follows you have, what's really important is to keep your essence and your creativity the way YOU want it to be, and don't change that based on anyone's opinion. WHY? You will be much happier when you are true to yourself.
This video here has the essence that I had in the beginning, when I didn't expect nobody to watch or like the video. And I really enjoyed creating the idea and filming it.

Could you please make a video tutorial on how you set up your jam station??? I’m curious where your boss Gt 1 pedal comes into play and also where the audio interface and recorder are all set up. That would be super rad. There’s tons of loop videos where people are throwing down but no one ever goes over their set up or if they do it’s a gear video. Love the jam keep up the good work!

I just got the Akai Mini Play and Boss RC 505. Do I just connect Midi to computer and looper to computer? I thought the midi and looper needed a direct connection. I’m new to this, so I need help understanding how it all works together. Thanks!

Awesome work Man! Where did you get the ideas for your acoustic treatments from and how did it work out so far? I‘d really like to know because I have very limited space in my home studio as well. Not much room for thick absorbers and stuff. Really digging your video!

Now THAT'S what DJs SHOULD be doing these days.... instead of just 'plug and playing' pre recorded anthems (all due credit to those who spend time in thye studio recording and crafting their original music), but in front of a live audience.... the live performance factor is dead when you just hit a play button. Hi, im trying to sync the 202 with the keystep pro, with the 202 as master, but after loop recording the tempo changes, messing with the all ksp sequences. how can i make the 202 tempo be 'freezed” to no change in any case?
