- 4 years ago I uploaded my first performance using a loop station on youtube. I didn't expect it to be watch by many people. For me it was very impressive to reach more than 1000 views. Today it has more than 200K.
Sometimes in social media we get carried away with views, comments and likes. We think if the content hasn't much interaction with the audience maybe it was not really good, and we have to change the perspective on what we do. I think that happens to most of us sometime along the way, and that is really frustrating. Because we are not creating what we want to create, but what we think (and we don't really know that) people would like to watch.
CZcams and other platforms work on algorithms. If the algorithm for some reason is good, your video is pushed out to the people. I have 1 video on this account with more than 1 million views, and some others that reach only 3K. And in my opinion more views doesn't neccesarily mean that a video is better than another one.
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate your support. ๐
My point with this is that it doesn't really matter how many views, likes, subs/follows you have, what's really important is to keep your essence and your creativity the way YOU want it to be, and don't change that based on anyone's opinion. WHY? You will be much happier when you are true to yourself.
This video here has the essence that I had in the beginning, when I didn't expect nobody to watch or like the video. And I really enjoyed creating the idea and filming it.

Love the video, love the statement in the description... so true.. Iโm a beginner. Just posted a couple vids in recent weeks.. and yes , it can be consuming. I found myself constantly checking my channel to see if anyone had watched, or commented, or liked.... my issue wasnโt one where I was gonna not be true to myself , it was just that i had let it become an all consuming obsession to constantly be checking โCZcams studioโ every time I picked up my phone...it went on for a couple weeks before I just had to stop.. lol.. I'm having such trouble to loop booth my guitar and my vst on my akai mpk And also record on ableton and have sound from my speakers.
How did you do? Because I need to have my Guitar plugged on my scarlett to use Guitar Rig Vst as well as my akai in midi, but how can I use all of this and record to ableton from the boss and monitor it from the speakers through my scarlett?

Both of them are great. Just consider how many tracks would you need, and how much money you want to spend. And most important (for me though) is the possibility to have an AUX input. I get my virtual instruments through that extra input.๐

The akai mini mkII doesn't have built in audio. That's why you need a computer or any other device. That keyboard only triggers the sounds from your software. ๐

I have a few questions about your setup. I have an Akai MPK mini of which I would like to connect to my loopstation. I am aware you need to connect the mini to your PC to have sounds, but do you also use an audio interface or a sound card? I want to have no latency when I am making music, but I am unsure how to do that. I also recently got a Kaoss Pad and want to also connect it to my loopstation, do you have any advice on doing so?
Hi GODTAGE. It would be great if you had an audio interface, because it would take work from your computer, so it can run smoothly, and maybe the sound quality can improve. But sometimes that's not enough to avoid latency issues. There is a free driver by the name ASIO4All, you just install it and choose in your DAW to run your audio through it (and also make sure you choose your Audio interface). This driver will result in less output latency and better performance on the overall sound issues. For the Kaoss Pad I think you can connect it directly to the loopstation in the AUX input. If you want to use it to put effects on your guitar or keys and change them sounds with it, maybe you need to connect the audio from your PC into the Kaoss, and from the Kaoss to the loopstation. I know it can sound messy, but the best way to get your own setup is to try, and if it does not suit you change and try a different way. I hope this was helpful. ๐
