Just guessing but it looks like it's setup through his laptop, into whatever DAW he uses (Ableton, Cubase, FL Studio etc) and from there the audio is going from the headphone jack to the RC-505 using a 3.5 mm -> 6mm jack cable. That's how I'd do it

@Tanvir sagor I didn't connect the loopstation via midi, only the audio signal from the laptop. But the rest is completely right. And thank you for helping the community. 🤗
@Tanvir sagor Thanks 😊, but where do you reckon the interface is plugged in on the Mac? I can see only the Akai Connecting. Can I use an aux cable to connect Mac to the Rc505 and then output from 505 to a Roland speaker for, exampl e? Thanks

Im getting an akai mini play.
Also got a guitarele .n just got a uke bass.
I have a kronos at home n use it for backing loops .
The akai will be for street work ..with melodica n percussion..

I can’t get it so my 505 will be used as an interface , so. I just plug my akai to the computer then main left out of my interface , into instrument line in rc505.

Does anybody know how to change the tempo once recorded in, without it chopping and messing up the originally recorded sound? I don't know how, but Marc Rebillet did it on one of his videos, and the sound was still crystal clear and not chopping? Anybody know of a work around?
are you using onboard mixing or running it through mainstage?
Are u using a standard amp or preamp for output to speakers?
Where are you getting these drum sounds from? Where can I get the sound at 1:23? That is one of the best sounds I've heard for awhile.

Could you please make a video tutorial on how you set up your jam station??? I’m curious where your boss Gt 1 pedal comes into play and also where the audio interface and recorder are all set up. That would be super rad. There’s tons of loop videos where people are throwing down but no one ever goes over their set up or if they do it’s a gear video. Love the jam keep up the good work!

Would it be possible to use the akai through the boss while also running a guitar through the loop station to an amplifier or would i have to have run it all through the computer. I honestly a little confised on how midis work i just know it would work best for what im trying to use it for.
You could do something like that if you use a mixer board for your input to the boss. I have that setup personally, so I can use any input I want into the looper. Pyle makes some cheap mixers that are sold on Amazon for relatively cheap.

Hi Ali! It really doesn't matter the software you use, you can do pretty much the same with all of them (ableton, sonar cakewalk, fl studio, reason, pro tools,...)

Gracias por pasar por aquí. El ordenador no es completamente necesario. El teclado que yo utilizo no tiene sonidos dentro, entonces necesito el ordenador para cargar instrumentos virtuales, y el audio de estos instrumentos virtuales va directamente hacia el looper. Si tienes una guitarra, teclado con instrumentos integrados (piano, sintetizador, etc) o si lo que quieres hacer es cantar con un micrófono, para todo esto no necesitarías el ordenador. Resumiendo, el ordenador es "mi instrumento musical". Espero haberme expresado bien. 🙂

He answered below that here it was Cakewalk Sonar, but usually he uses indeed Ableton.

Hola May. Si que puedes grabar tu sesión directamente en el ordenador. Yo lo grabo en una grabadora externa porque estoy usando instrumentos virtuales en el ordenador y me es más cómodo de esta forma. Para poder grabar desde el ordenador debes seleccionar la opcion AUDIO/MIDI en el panel "USB mode" de tu loop station. Un saludo!
