At 1:36 when he pulls his guitar from his lap.... I just couldn't stop laughing. "Oh this thing?..." Love it!
Yeah, wish it was in tune though.....
Love everything about it. I should acquire my 505 at the end of January I’m beyond excited! Thank you for the inspiration!!!

Wow, great demo and great track! 😃
It's simple and cool. I saw many live looping videos, but it interesting, because simply!
Nicely done
Tooooma Cool tones!"
Well done! Entertaining and inspiring work! And i really loven when you add the guitar into the mix. Loved it!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
There isn't anyone sleeping in your bed. :-)
Sick!!!
Beautiful
Super cool... more please
Nice job 👍
Great work! Thank you! I have ALL this hardware and haven’t learned how to use it yet. You are an inspiration!
Go for it! Remember that practice is the key 😉 😉
Damn, that was awesome! Not many people are able to make original non-repetitive music on the 505, and even less people can do it live. Very well done!
Thank you for the support, I'm glad you liked it!
This is fire!
Subscribed listening to this! Ace! Had my feet tapping all the way through! Brilliant use of the Akai's and the 505! Nice!
Great comment John, I really appreciate it. Thank you!

Glad you liked it! Thank you 😊
Lead каеф ваще

wow
Awesome! Can you pls make a tutorial of how did you connect and set all your gear? Which cables and accessories did you use to set it all? Cheers
Good!!
Thank you!
Sigue así!
Gracias!
I may be dating myself a bit here, but reminds me a bit of New Order, especially when you brought the guitar in.
fkkin wicked dude!
Hey man! Great video! Is your Loopstation somehow synced with the midi stuff? Greetings!
Omg wow. I watch loads of these and this is 1 of the best.
Do you prefer the 505 to using a foot controlled looper with the loopy app?? I’m wondering which to go with? Could I perhaps use both?
Hi tronlady1! Thank you for your comment. I've never tried the loopy app with a foot controller, but I think it can also be a good choice, even cheaper than a loopstation probably. You can also plug a footswitch to the loop station RC 505 in case you are playing guitar or keyboard while you are trying to record loops. Sometimes your materials are not as important as the things you can do with them. 😉
Do you use a separate recording device that the boss rc-505 is hooked up to or do you record everything in fl studio? (synths to keys, keys to boss, then the boss back into fl?)
nice :-)
Galacy drive way😂
Hi elephant, really nice! how do you change sound for your midi keyboard? Which software do you use in this video? Thank you for sharing.
Quick question. Can you here a metronome in the head phones separate from the audio to main output?
I hope I'm not too late to answer, but yes, you can use a metronome only in your headphones to monitor your mix. I explain it all here:
czcams.com/video/m8_ZFH8_Hz8/video.html
Oui basic ça comme son
Are you able to record all of that in a DAW?
Did you set your tracks to a specific measure or did you start off with them on auto?
Nice video cover, how your record loop start alone ? You don't push stop bouton on track, thanks for your all cover and tuto
It's all preconfigurated in the loopstation. You just need to play the metronome (which I'm listening to only in my headphones) and set the record button to start recording after one measure of the metronome.
Hey question. Does the 505 have a metronome you can hear out loud like how the RC -30 does?
Yes, it have 85 different onboard rhythms.
do you do some live quantization for kicks and other stuff? how do you achive this? or is it just even taping?:P
i have a boss 505 how do i connect my arturia minilab midi keyboard pls help
nice, what software are you using? thanks
Do you think you could of done this with a free app ie cakewalk etc.
Ableton? What are you running the midi controllers through? Thx thx thx.
Hello, I recently discovered you and I love what you do.
For my part I would like to make accompanying music for my violin.
I have the looper RC 505 and wish to acquire the Akai LPK25 and LPD8.
I would like if you can, that you tell me how you make the connections between your different devices (Computer, Looper RC 505, LPK25 and LPD8)
Which RC505 rear jacks do you connect to? (Midi in / out, ctl 1,2 / exp, ... etc.)
On my computer I have FL Studio 11 is what is this software you use?
Sorry I do not speak English and therefore use the translator, I hope it will be understandable.
Thank you in advance if you can answer me, and good future for your music.
Claude

Here you have all the answers :)
hello Can u tell me how you connect audio voice into the laptop. thanks
With a microphone connected into an audio interface to your computer. You will also need a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).
Nice! Is it possible to do live looping without loop station? For example just with a MIDI keyboard and open source software like LMMS?
Yes. I'd recommend you Ableton Live for that purpose.
@@elephantmoore6721 thanks but I will have to use something else since Ableton Live is not compatible with Linux and I prefer open source software.
Update: I managed to do it with Luppp after having heard of it here: github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/5044
How did you record the bass at the start?
Do you run your guitar through a preamp of some sort? Interface, pedal, or software ?
Sometimes I do. It would be the same process of connecting a guitar to your loopstation, you just plug the amp or pedals in between (guitar > pedalboard /amp > loopstation). I don't use software effects on my guitar when I play live because it usually leads to latency problems, and even crashes on the plugins sometimes. But that really depends on your computer, software, an plugin choice.
Where are you from? I want to jam with you bro. Awesome stuff!
hahaha I'm currently in the Netherlands, and you? It would be great
Hi what daw do you use ?
hi what is the name of a software you use in computer
Where are the synth sounds came from? Any hidden synth or rompler?
They come from plugins (VSTs), in a software on the computer :)
Hey Elephant, not sure if you're still answering comments but how'd you play that bass part at the very beginning by just holding down the key? I thought even with sampled audio on a keyboard you would have to keep pressing the button to play the sound repeatedly. Also, where would you find an audio sample like that, where it's not just one note (i.e. a series of bass notes, like you had here)? Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!
Hi themason2011! Very good question. This is actually very simple. The sound is just an emulated bass, but the VST that is running it has a built in arpeggiator which you can preconfigurate and choose the notes you want to have while holding a key. The plugin is Nexus2, but I can't recall the preset that I used (or how much I messed with it haha). At 0:22 when the sound changes it's the same pattern, but I'm swtiching octaves with the orange button on the keyboard. You can probably do this with many other plugins and hardware, and it's really cool. Thanks for your comment. 😁
YABAI!
What DAW are you using to run all this?
Hi Ryan. I was using FL Studio on this one.
@@elephantmoore6721 thank you! You're very talented
how did you plug on the AKAIs to the computer? I see they are plugged to each other, but how are they connected to the rest of the setup? regards
Actually they are not connected to each other. They have their own cable and each of them is connected to the computer (on the left side of it).
@@elephantmoore6721 thank you for this answer, I've actually seen your video on the setup now, it explains it well, thanks for that.
viewer 100,001 . noice
How expensive was this setup
come si fa a portare i suoni dei media all'interno della Loop Station RC 505?
Ho inviato l'audio del computer alla porta RC 505 AUX. I don't know if you understand, I used google translate ;)
Elephant Moore ho capito grazie ;)
Tutorial please i hace rc505 how u looping
Not my style but good practice !
where did the chick on the couch go?
Next time with a stylaphone
This is DOPE!
Will be following!
Ig: Cspinfilms
Love your videos but anytime you play your guitar, it's out of tune somehow. B/ it drives me nuts.
Joe Fernandez Personally I love the detuning in this track. Don’t know if it’s on purpose, but I see it as an asset. Just my tastes. 😉
tune your guitar, dude
Hhshahaha
