One of few persons on youtube that actualy sounds and feels like a person and doesn't get on your nerve after 4 sec, Kudos!
Amazing video. So clear and well done. 🌴
Great coherent explanation of how the Measure operates against the 4/4 count....Thank you.
Im new to looping, im using the MK2 , and this was super helpful to get me started. Thank you!
Nice 👍🏼🎸 thankyou 🎸🤘🏼
Thank U for all U share Kalani 🙏🏽
Excellent information and well-explained.
Thanks for a clear video. Very helpful.
That downbeat trick is definitely useful.
Great job!!
Very cool, thanks for sharing 🙏
Awesome, sir
Thank you!!
Thanks a lot.
I need this exact video, but for the mark two
New looper here, thanks for the tips man!
Awesome
Thanks so much :)
THANKS
Gracias Gracias Gracias mi hermano!
This was so helpful!!! Also love the intro loop, makes me think of Kill Bill 😆
Kalani eres el mejor! You're the best!
thx!
Great tutorial - have any for the MK-2 ? Looking hard for some guidance/ tutorials on the “newer” model - - are there “ programs “ or camps or classes out there that can can give lessons one on one with this type of setup - Reinhold Burr is awesome but that is next level - I need some basics ! Thanks for your energy 🙏
Great video. I’m a percussionist and have been thinking of getting a looper. All of the tutorials I’ve seen are tailored for singers and guitarist.
One question: what type of mic are you using? Dynamic, condenser?
Hello man, how are you? So I would like to know how you recored with a good quality, because when I do one song after the song is not so good like yours. I think is because de microfone 🎤 or I don't know a good form to record. Can you send me a help please with that information? Tks o lot 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for the video! I have a question. It's difficult to stop a track and start a different one simultaneously and on beat. If I'm doing a verse into chorus let's say, is there a way to press stop on one track and play on another to "queue" up the trigger so I don't have to time it exactly? Thank you!!
Hello,
Is that all looping was made only through the microphone?
Or it is possible to make it separately through audio aux channels on boos looper?
Thank you
Can you loop in odd time signatures? If so, how?
💐💐💐
I'm interested in learning live looping. How to set up things so that there is not too much fiddling and tweaking?
I just got my MK2 today.. At the beginning of your video, you start recording percussion on loop #5 and then you add another percussion instrument to the same loop 5. My question is ,how many instruments can you add(record) to the same loop number ? You mentioned about overdoub or something like that
Great, exactly what I needed to know starting out :-) Thanks so much.
Guess there is no way to eq the rhythm track onboard on the Mk II? I find most rhythms a bit edgy/trebly (I am using a DAW with all RC-505 tracks in to one Reaper track).
Try recording just the rhythm to a separate track in Reaper then you can EQ that to what you're after.
shouldn't be possible with nowadays technology to change (trim) the length (bars measure) of an already digitally recorded audio sample?
Hi thank you for your great video. How is your "long reverb" configured please? Thanks
Omg, thanks for the tips with the mics and dynamics! omg - life changer!
Hey thanks for The video. What I was wondering if the 505 can actually change the tempo of the loop that you’ve recorded on the fly. So for example if I recorded a Cahoon and it’s looping but the vibe is too high paced and I want to slow it down can I slow it down on the fly and play a chilled guitar riff and then once that’s all looping change the tempo of all the loops playing on the fly?
As far as I can see with my mk2 it's a yes
Nice! Can you record more than 4 tracks? Almost like pressing a next/prev button to move from channel 1-4 to channel 5-8 ?
With the RC-505 (1 and MK2) you can record and control 5 tracks. You can overdub any track (which happens on track 5 in Kalanis recording). Theoretically the number of overdubs is limited only by the memory space. But by overdubbing you can't control the volume or effects (or loop lengths) separately anymore.
I normally record basic rhythm guitars or keyboard tracks on Track 1, bass on TR2, additional rhythm instruments (keys, guitar, banjo, mallets, congas, guiro, shaker or whatever) on TR3 - harmony vocals, pads, organ, sax or the whole brass section etc. on TR4 - and drums on TR5. You can record an acoustic drum set in stereo, so it's a good idea to use a mixing console in between and mix the different mics with all the pan settings there. I also use the mixers EQs, dynamics and gates for the best results. While recording the initial 5 tracks I either use the click from the RC-505 (as does Kalani) or any suitable drum rhythm from either the RC or drum machines synched by MIDI.
If you're a solo live artist or a multi-instrumentalist, the RC-505 may be one of the coolest things you can get to have fun and amaze your audience with. 😀
@@richardervins damn. Lots of really good nuggets of information man 👀
How do you get an imported or recorded loop track to loop smoothly?
I'll assume you want it to sync.
The imported loop must be the right length.
Hi!
Does anyone know how to set the length of a track in the mk2?
😅
Have you figured this out yet? i'm having the same issue :( I can set it up, but somehow it doesn't save...
