The capitalism simulation in this game is beyond ridiculous. You will need at least state capitalism to built new high wage industries in time, so your POPs can really enjoy the consumer friendly lifestyle. The Vicky 2 CWE mod was better at this, because you could unlock more new goods during the campaign. So once the computing and services industry rolls around, you can turn your backwards country into an industrial high wage powerhouse by building these industries early so you supply the world with overprized healthcare. And your POPs will thank you by continuously reelecting the sitting government.
