Jedd I was at the Saturday night show at Ryman with my wife, our son and his wife. I told them they were about to see 2 of the finest guitarists in Nashville, or anywhere else for that matter, with Vince Gill thrown in as a bonus! Great, great work, Jedd. I'm curious, was the burst you were playing one of those from Gruhn's that you played during the rehearsal? Did Vince play one of those too?

When I was growing up on the 60s. Tiesco brand guitars were pure garbage with unusable electronics, like you kinda describe with your pickups. Has the brand "grown up" like Ibanez and others? They used to be the $50 guitars worth $20. Guitars nowadays are amazing and it's interesting your take now on the early year Gibsons. Congrats on 10k!! Like the nice laid back feel of the channel.

If you ever find a suitable 'husk', a mahogany/maple something or other, I have a set of rare pups. It must be 10 or more years now, Joe Bonamassa needed a set of pups in case one of his "bursts" failed on the road. He and Seymour spent some time in Seymour's lab, quite a lot if I remember right, and came up with a set. They ended up making 1959 sets, that's it. Joe got some, and some select dealers world wide got a set. I found set #115 (I think) of 1959 at a small dealer in Texas. I still have them untouched. I have heard set's installed in LP's and they sound amazing!! If you find a mahogany/maple object give a shout, I'll send them to you. I also have a set of PRS 85/15 LT's made in Maryland. They are what is in the core 594's. Just something to keep in mind. The Bonamasa/Duncan set could produce quite a nice tone machine. 8) --gary

Really enjoyed the Otis videos! The Knopfler story is gold! Man, it must have been great to trade off solos with Richard Thompson! Mock Tudor is one of my all-time favourite rock albums. What a songwriter!

Digging your Teisco guitar - what year is it? I got one back in '72, it was my first electric guitar. I found it at a sidewalk sale in my hometown and initially thought it was a bass guitar as I could only see the side of the headstock with the 4 tuners on it. Paid a whopping $5 for it!
