  • The search for old forgotten or undiscovered odd ball effects pedals is a fun way to find unique textures for sessions and recording in general.
The Electra EP-75 Analog Delay was something I found on ebay a few years ago and was pretty cheap compared to a lot of boutique stuff nowadays. I have found a lot of old Analog Delays to be too dark and murky but this one is fantastic with clear and warm repeats and a cool preamp to boot. Its limited in its delay range but its inspiring and thats the only goal at the end of the day anyway.
I’ll save the Guyatone dissection for another episode!

I got my first pedal board less than a year ago. All I ever used was a pair of Boss Blues Drivers. Then I bought an amp head that didn't have reverb, and I got a HOF verb pedal. Then a Comp-90. I told myself I'm not going down that rabbit hole, and I only have room for 7 pedals and a PS. LOL I do have about 9 speaker cabs though, all loaded with different speakers! Oi.!! Thanks Jedd, I think, LOL, that delay sounds cool!! 8) --gary

The Guytone vibrato as set is like an auto Frisell neck shake :)

Thanks Jedd! Delay goodness!and I swear it was stereo in my headphones. You’ll likely to have caused a spike in the retail of that pedal!

Hi Jedd, great playing and tone. Like that guitar more every time you play it. Looks like back of guitar can see wood grain. That delay sounds great but has that awesome look too. I just purchased from Japan a Yamaha Acoustic (made in Japan) that was only made for Japan market from 1975-78, Orange Label FG 251. For being 50ish yrs old looks great in ad, seen videos of them, they sound great. Its on its first ever journey out of Japan to me in Canada. Think it must have an amazing life story, and soon start a story with me in Canada. These original Japan made acoustics have a great history by Japanese hand made craftsmanship. Can't wait to see it and play it. Cheers, take care

Thanks, Jedd. How do you have things set up to support pedals on the floor and tabletop? A mix of both is ideal. Effects loop or just a long cable instead of patch cables? Such great sounds.

I bought one of those Guyatone pedals based on your recommending it on one of your Brett Pappa videos Jedd. Very glad I did, it's a great sound and very inspiring. Belated thanks for the recommendation and for another cool vid with some stellar soulful playing....

Hey Jedd. Really enjoy your music and I figured I would suggest you check out the song Higher Ground by Lynne Hanson. I guarantee you are going to dig it. The guy playing the Telecaster does some great work on that one.

You make me want to put down my other guitars and pick up my baritone today..... thanks. It's been rather neglected. Analog remains so much warmer than digital...both have their place.
