Calling this discrimination feels different from my point of view. If it's just cultural differences, I can still handle it, but the language barrier is the number one problem. In the case where the real estate agent speaks English but the landlord does not, can he communicate with the neighbors? Even if a foreigner can speak Japanese and has an N1 certificate, he or she may not actually speak Japanese well enough to communicate. You should understand this if you have lived in Japan for 20 years. Lenders do not know what kind of foreigner you are, nor do they know your level of language ability. In fact, if you look at the problems that have occurred in the past, the risk is great, and in some cases, the cost of repairs is more than the rent you have paid so far. It can develop into a problem in the community, and sometimes the police have no jurisdiction, such as when foreigners are the only residents in the building, or when they leave the country without paying the rent. There is certainly a part of me that thinks that to deny this to only some countries is discrimination, but if you deny foreigners from all countries, it is not discrimination. And it is not illegal. I have known about this event before this video, and it may seem strange to comment now on this video from a few years ago, but the situation has actually been improving, albeit slowly, year by year. This is because Japanese people have accumulated various troubles that have occurred in the past, and have come to be able to respond and deal with others in an easy-to-understand manner, and the number of foreign owners has also increased. Also, the awareness and manners of foreigners themselves have improved. However, I still see and hear about some pretty terrible problems. In fact, this problem is not only in Japan but also in other countries, and there are similar cases in Canada. Credit score, not Canadian, poor English. I think every landlord in every country wants to eliminate the risk

It’s so nice to see Japanese people speak English. I once pretended to be a foreigner and order at KFC (dine in) and the staff can speak a good English. However, when it was my father’s turn to order, I told a staff that I’m Thai and I was just testing them and I said sorry for wasting their time. When I speak English, I usually speak English with Australian accent because it’s more easier :) Anyway, great video 😊👍✌🏻 Watching from Thailand 🇹🇭

Ugh in the Japanese countryside I feel a little nervous going to doctors here. I remember when I first moved here I kept getting heat sickness and faintish and dizzy in the Summer even with air-conditioning. One night.I had heart palpitations and felt off and Japanese hubby took me to the hospital at night and nobody was there, the doctor took my blood pressure and pulse and told me to go home it's menopause. I have no idea why in the past few years I became heat intolerant and wasn't seeing to sweat much and regulating my temperature. Then I had tinnitus in one ear, usually it happens to both ears, I also hear a hissing if I lift medium to heavy weights and I couldn't sleep at night due to the noise. The doctor (a different doctor) tested my hearing and said it was fine and that there's nothing more he can do. Only playing a white noise helps settle it down, even several month later it still happens. Then I had toenail fungus and saw who was the highest rated dermatologist in the countryside. He wanted me to take the pill that could hurt the liver, I asked if there was an option for laser surgery and he laughed and said he never heard of laser surgery for toenail fungus. Tokyo has this option but its two hours away. Lastly my dentist was drilling a cavity and the painkiller wasn't totally numbing me and I could feel the drilling, like nails scratching hard on a chalkboard uncomfortable feeling. He gave up on giving more numbing injections and just kept drilling though I raised my hand I was in pain and then he seemed to finish early and just sealed the tooth up. But my sister is in San Francisco and she has blook in stool and doctors found multiple tumors and she was already thin and lost more weight without trying and has anemia and she is almost 50 but they were reluctant to let her get a colonoscopy. Finally they agreed but put her on ow priority list and she's been waiting for almost three months now. So can't say the grass is always greener. I am half-Japanese and born in the USA.

What Lilly needs is an attorney. What are the rules there? Someone needs to be accountable I mean as long as she has money to pay or has insurance to cover, it should not have been a problem at least I would think so. I don’t live there so I don’t know, but they ought to be ashamed of themselves. I wonder if somebody is willing to be her voice and fight for her attorney wives I hope that word gets around and somebody that sees her story can definitely help her because this is not only so unethical for any doctor from anywhere in the whole world, but it’s just absolutely disgusting and the Japanese medical care system should be so embarrassed of themselves to allow this situation to go as far as it has

I know it wouldn’t be ideal but instead of a Medical Transport, I still think that she should contact the Swedish government about that, but what about simply buying a set of three seats a row and bringing like some kind of mattress and getting some seatbelt extenders that way she could lay on her side and put foam down on either side so that it would be padded so against the back and the bottom so that way she would have a bed Then she could use seatbelt extenders to go around her to strap her in on her side as I said it wouldn’t be as deal as Medical Transport but she had to lay on her side and that anyway I would try that and because she could do that immediately and get back to Sweden and then have an ambulance meet her maybe have somebody have a few people with her who can help her in In most international flights, they have chairs that can turn into bed, so same kind of idea get her strapped in on her side on one of those bed chairs and then they can flip her during the flight a couple times again not ideal, but it’s something that could be done immediately to get her back

You need to get out of Joann and go back to your home country to see US they have laws that basically they won’t give you any pain medication unless you’re dying of cancer then, as far as I know, they were only used proof of fall to literally sedate patients and put them unconscious, but still not giving them high doses of pain medication even in the US because of the laws changed . They do have air medical teams that can come and get you on like a bed and fly you back to the US. Of course I don’t know about insurance and all that but you need to get out of Japan because you’re not going to get any kind of Palletive Care pain management treatment there really at all ‘. Depending on how bad your condition is which it sounds like it’s really bad I would highly suggest that whichever state you end up living in that you immediately contact your local hospice palliative care team, so just so you know, hospice is obviously for people that are dying palliative care for people that have long-term painful medical conditions you would qualify I believe palliative care. Please give them a call because the White laws are written now in the US they can actually treat you a little better than a regular pain management team..
