In case of Digital Products like Templates, isn't Counter Notion is an easy way out for the copycat. They can copy anything and just get away by sending a Counter Notice. Etsy should at least consider who published a product the first time and many such things. I have been copied by copycats who not only copy the design but also the title and description. On sending a copyright notice either they start blackmailing for sending copyright notions from multiple other of their fake shops or they will just send a Counter Notice, knowing for sure that 99% won't take the hassle of going to the court. Spending hundreds and thousands of dollars for a side hustle isn't something worth it, unless the business is booming and generating huge amount of revenue/profit. Lastly, many of the times these copycats reside in a different country which makes it even more trickier. I will love to you know response.

I'm a buyer. i have never opened a shop. i have never done anything but buy products for years. logged on today to find out i'm suspended. No email, nothing. I try to appeal and its asking me stuff like "what type of products i sell" even though again, never owned a shop. and then i fill in the fact multiple times that ive never owned a shop. and my appeal gets denied within 2 hours. not even telling me the initial reason aside from "the systems detected something suspicious". and told i have 0 way to appeal again, and that any ticket i open will be instantly denied and closed. Honestly this is beyond ridiculous since i'm 99.9% sure i have done nothing wrong. have 0 clue as to what the suspension was even about. and 0 way to appeal it. this is absolutely ridiculous and i don't even have a way to try get my account back because some outsourced worker decided to deny my appeal without any actual looking into anything i said.

Hey Alfie, A topic that isnt covered is based on the new updates for non US related listings you are unable to counter any IP claims as its outside the US. What now? as we have no physical way to appeal. In turn this leaves strikes on the account which will lead to shop suspension / closure

For those of you that are watching that aren't aware, the CEO of Etsy (Jeff) put out a video this past Tuesday "reminding" us about the policies. He says that it's not a change but just wanted to make the policies "clearer" but there was in fact a slight change. All that is to say just make sure that whatever you're planning to sell, you make sure to review the policies on WHAT can be sold, how you categorize your shop/items and what your product photos need to look like. I'm not in the POD category, but I was considering it until I heard about the listing photo requirements. Good luck all!! Make that $$$$!!

Hello alfie i been selling on etsy since 2021 and the legal team this morning reached out to me that my listing have been removed due to IP infringement report and the ones reporting is from turkey a lawyer called vehbi kahveci out of the blue reporting my etsy store parcticularly. I was shocked this is the first time in three years that i been selling vintage louis vuitton bags and ive not encounter this IP infridgement report that caused removing my three listings. In my theory this is a false IP infringement reports thought in my research those people existed or maybe used by the reporter maybe an envous seller or a competitor in this flatform which is etsy. deactivated three of my listings particularly and lv bag i know selling vintage luxury bags are allowed in etsy i having no problems with it as long as its authentic. I know this vehbi kahvec his identity has been used to report my listings those particular lv listing in my shop only why only my shop if they are sweeping over the internet what does the guy a lawyer from turkey claiming as lv representstive law with a law firm stated on the ip infringement email yet that lawfirms email or persons email is different from the email on the ip report,doing online reporting someone in etsy out of the blue . I know this is a false ip infringement report why out of the blue my shop has only reported and other sellers in etsy selling fakes and me selling the authentic ones from japan is only reported in this matter yet their listing are still active now why only me? . I think this is a slandurious report by a competitor as he knows this days im having a sale and currently happening a sale and this happen,what should i do for etsy to reinstate my listings back to be reinstate my listings. should i file a counter notice its been two days i email the legal department on etsy on this matter and that email address ststed on the ip report no response should i wait for a week to file a counter notice on dmca legal to reinstate my listings with this ridiculous report by someone using other peoples identity to conceal his or her trueself this are evil jealous people. THis is a big hassle on my side as a seller because I know some of the buyers are eyeing on my products that they will buy one of these days and now out of the blue it was gone i hope they bring back those listing and that reporter i know who is fake and making a false IP infringement report against me are targetting only the lv listing which he knows it will be sold out anytime soon such a hassle on my part please help me on this matter. HOpe they bring back those inactive listings as i know this reporter will never sue me for a copyright infringement case and been using some peoples identity over the internet so ridiculous . Hope someone can help me in this matter restore those three listing that have been deactivated by the etsy bot due to this report help me please thank you so much.. i have a good standing and reputation in selling in etsy sold good numbers of vintage bags since 2021 and had all 5 stars reviews this is new to me i hope you can give me advice on this situation❤ i think he used that lawyer from turkey steal his identity and used in on the ip infringement report.. thats my theory

Since from what I've heard, Printify does not handle returns of products and when creating my policy settings for my etsy store I wanted to turn off returns but when I do, etsy informs me about the consumer protection laws in the UK and EU. My question is whether i should enable returns or not because I know that I only lose money if I enable returns but since this law exists I don't know what I am supposed to do. I hope you understand my question.
