Plam tress look out of place in Upstate South carolina
Please do another experiment planting a palm on the small island at the Lake. Don’t plant it out in the open, but try to make it blend in with the trees there. Canariensis would be be epic there.
Beautiful spread on those Crowns beautiful palms
Wow where you get these big palms, I would like to see more videos if you have a place of your own to plant things too.
Great looking palmage with some Fleetwood Mac to boot. Classy 👍
What area?
Tega Cay South Carolina
How much do new trachys need to be watered?
Id say a good soaking at least 2 twice a week in the summer heat 💧
@@palmsrkool9476 thanks! I just got two new ones. And a 17ft Sabal
How's the palmage at your old place? Always great to see your palmy videos👍
Not great.....lost all but one Washingtonia.....lost all the Phoenix canariensis....everything else is doing good tho
It needs good care and some fertilization. It should look lushes and green. Big palm! Amazing it’s in charlotte. And that big. Looks pretty, but wish the landscapers and those around understood the composition of palms as they are complicated, to try to make flourish
I have the same situation
Why don’t you move to FL? lol
The left date had lethal bronzing and is already dead. Look at the fronds. You’re not recognizing the symptoms.
Who transplanted these cabbage palms? Rather than bracing the palms, they put them in very deep-- in a habitat that’s unnatural. Awful.
I have seen blue pot palms in HD on both coasts(usually Trachycarpus, Chamerops, or Rapidophyllum. Haven’t seen them in a few years now, but thinking that somebody was producing a ton of them for HD stores nationwide
😂😂😂 Heck Ya
Too bad my Home Depot in Florida does not sell them
Did they survive????.... curious as my washy and chamerops are the same after bad frost UK..
Unfortunately they did not survive :( The only one that survived was the one that was in more sunlight.....the other 3 are dead at 11F
@@palmsrkool9476 oh no....I'm guessing mine will go the same way 😕...I have just moved mine into more sun so hopefully that'll help....well what little sun we have over here 🤣🤣... 👍👍👍
Great pálmate how much does a Palmetto that size cost? Do you make good money planting palms for people? I really hope you give citrus another try. Get 2 Meyor Lemons and a cold hardy mandarine. Those will not freeze down to the ground like the other ones you tried. Plant them close to your house south facing for maximum sunlight and heat. Menors are hardy down to around 16f before it dies back to the ground. They don’t get very big they are dwarfs so just cover them with frost cloth and a heat source on the worst periods until established. W
Nice man, hope those are all going strong 5 years later!
unfortunately only one remains
They grow in SC?
unfortunately no :(
How does this palm look spring 2024?
ill have to go check it out
hopefully trimmed
yeah😁
What were your experiments planting lime and lemons? Would be so cool if you got some cold hardy citrus like mandarins and Lemon as well as avocado trees.
Ive tried lemon and lime they just defoliate in the winter so they grow very slow and not enough time for big fruit
@@palmsrkool9476 check out Millennial gardener he grows citrus in NC. Think he is in the same zone even. Just like with palm trees there is a bunch of subspecies of citrus that has different hardiness, just like with palm trees. There is also hardy avocado that the channel I mentioned grows.
Looked into getting Mule palms in your area?
honestly Pindos struggle around here unless they are fully established.....a Mule may struggle as well?
@@palmsrkool9476 once it has trunk they are said to be hardy to around 14f. One person I red about had his experience 13f and it survived by cutting the trunk. I would definitely try perhaps 2-3 of them in your best microclimate as a test. Then if you get a crazy winter again protect them a little using c9s or similar.
Beautiful Find ❤
Those 'smaller ones' in better shape look like Trachycarpus fortunei to me which would explain why they are looking fine 🌴
Chased by palmage!
I love it, don’t think I can move one in my small sedan though 😔
Palm tree problems 😂
Trachricarpus princeps
There are foxtails in Hilton head sc
They look awesome,
Wow where did you get the potted palmetto? Bring me one to TN!!!
Congrats 🎉 my friend. This is awesome. I’m really looking to plant some palmettos for our new house in Raleigh area North Carolina. Can we connect directly pls as I have some questions.
No problem here is my Facebook link: facebook.com/palmtreesouthllc?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Have you planted any palms at your new house?
So much better to buy Palmettos in a pot then where their roots have been cut in burlap! Where did you get your tall potted palmettos
lol floria duh
Просто влеколепно ...
I find it kind of strange that palmettos die from being planted too deep. In their natural habitat they even grow in standing water and the ones growing in swampy conditions probably sinks some into the ground as well.
In their natural habitat is the key.. when a palmetto is uprooted, the roots are cut. The roots have to grow back and you can’t suffocate it …it won’t regrow roots and die.

Nice! I like the jet ski trailer idea. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!
Great work. Palm haulage at it's finest finished with a quote from my favourite Colonel👍
Very Kool
Isn't it too late to have palms in pots or try to plant them? Palmettos got fried in your area last year.
The weather this winter has been much better!
I live in Charlotte and all of the palmettos I’ve seen handled last years freeze event just fine
Pls upload everyday man I love the palm tree vids seriously🙏🏼
thank man....I'll try my best
Wish there was a market for exclusive/Rare palms where I live. Would be the most epic job
I bet that driving with these giant palms was stressful.
