Even on some natives. Might have been the extreme temperature fluctuations from deep frost to winter heat wave jumping up and down several times. Plus a lot of wetness...
If it still stinks maybe try to cut a little further down? You should try to cut the Canaries too. Lets hope those washies survive. Will you make an update video soon?

Did they survive????.... curious as my washy and chamerops are the same after bad frost UK..
Unfortunately they did not survive :( The only one that survived was the one that was in more sunlight.....the other 3 are dead at 11F

Washingtonia are short term in Atlanta. Better off with Sabals and Windmills for long term.
Growth point of the trunk cut washie is brown. Doesnt look good.
