Unfortunately most damage will only appear next spring or summer. What is most damaging is rain just before freezing. Love how you take care of yours babies đđŽđŽ
I have 10 degrees forecasted for the low here tonight in GA. I protected my 15 gallon palmettos I planted this year and my pindo. I also protected my large trachycarpus from the wind. I was more concerned with the dessicating wind than the overall lows really. Good luck and stay warm!
Looooooookin Goooooooood........... big freeze on the way Iâm sure a lot of palms and shrubs are Gona be wiped out temps as low as -55 thatâs crazy once in a lifetime freeze.
Touched single digits here in North Texas, other than Christmas lights didnât protect my palms at all unfortunately. Iâm hoping once it warms up next week and I can really see the damage that thereâs still at least doing OK.
Unfortunately it was worse than what was forecasted here north of Greensboro. Got down to 5 degrees last night - coldest weâve seen in years đą. I protected all my palms as best I could - hopefully they make it through alive.
Those robusta fronds donât fold up or tie up very well. I figure the foliage is gonna fry no matter what so I cut off all the fronds and wrapped up the trunk and covered it and heavily mulched around it. I even cut the center spear down to the trunk, hopeful that was ok of me to do.
Temps went sub 20F in the FL panhandle and I saw single digits at my location. Friends in Charlotte let me know they had 8 or 9 degrees this AM. Hope these newly planted palms can make it. Stay warm!
@@palmsrkool9476 the farthest north Iâve seen established Palmettos is in Salisbury NC . On Fulton street near downtown Salisbury . Planted alongside sidewalk

I would not worry about the Livestona. In fact some people in colder climates let them burn completely and they allways come back.
thats good know!!!
Awesome palms ! Nice video. What type fabric do you use to wrap the palms for protection
in this case old sheets lol
not the best but it was a last ditch effort
Are these palms you check on that you planted and sold?
Yes most of these palm are đŽ đŽ đŽ
New video from the old house soon? By the way did the Livestonas recover?
Yes i have it update from the old house....and its not good
@@palmsrkool9476 thats sad. Are you uploading a video on it soon?
Do you just like supply the neighborhood with palm trees? Lmao.
Do u think my washtonia đŽ will be fine in 31degrees
oh definitely ive seen them go down to 20 degrees
My Washingtonias see below 32 several times a year and they bounce back just fine. They can easily take 31 degrees
Those CIDP are going to suffer if it really gets THAT cold! đ„Čâ
