No such thing as a 6mm BB ,BB is a shot size 4.5 mm US 4.01 mm European, 6mm plastic shot for airsoft is mistakenly called BB for whatever reason , you learn stuff like this after best part of 50 years shooting , catapult, shotgun and rifle

Hi Chris, I’m plagued with poxy wood pigeons eating my produce I’ve painstakingly grown on my allotment. Decoy raptors and netting aren’t winning the war so I’ve resorted to buying and trying to lean how to use a catapult. I’ve bought a sweet little catty from Hegarty Slings (made of HDPE) which is all tied and ready to go. I’m still not sure how a pre-tied sling with pouch works for the draw length but I’ll try and work it out. I get how to calculate it but not sure how to tie it all back up again. The bit I’m concerned about is actually firing it from my anchor point etc. Is there ever a risk of the ball hitting one of the forks and hitting me in the face? I am female and have absolutely no experience of slings as this is mostly a male arena. Sorry for sounding a bit thick but I’m so wanting to learn this skill. Thank you Jess Fox
