I used to have neighbours like that. Every time I shot my slingshot (safely) they would be out shouting " what you doing " thankfully we have now moved. Nice slingshot. Keep it up 👍
A modern shillelagh! Love it.

Great job. The texture of natural wood with cracks and defects in the hands of the master turns into a work of art.....
Thank you 😊
That looks like a work of art that ought to be on the wall in glass case
Great catty Chris..... like how you've done away with buying those bobbin sander sleeves 👍that's got to save a few quid .

Nice work!i love natural slingshot too
Another outstanding frame Chris, love to watch you at work with these naturals, the video content id spot on. You see the birth of the frames from start to finish with great narrative, and of course the test shooting at the end... I said on the last video your boy was going to be a natural shooter, and the way he picked up and held that frame proved it! 🤔😉
So looking forward to seeing your videos out in the field again, and your next frame project... Thanks for posting👍🏼
In my Country, name " Blackthorn " was our king of fruits " The Durian " so far its the most expensive and the best of its kind.
Another beauty Chris, great video. Keep them coming 👍🏻

Muito top demais 👍
So are any of the stick makers doing this with blackthorn? Seems like a really good idea?
Are those black bands a new favorite?
Es mi deseo que puedas vivir de esta actividad y que Dios te llene de bendiciones y exito.
Saludos desde Mexico.
Nice bit of Blackthorn Chris did you dry it before making the Catapult? Lovely finish must admit you got the knack to make them and use it, real deal. Chris just curious do you collect the shot balls ? My mate and I we use a magnet and retrieve them .
Yes Tony, I probably had it 2 years drying. Blackthorn is very prone to cracks especially in the early stages of drying.
😉👍
Fantastic Chris how long has that been seasoning m8...... A really lovely catty top draw 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Must be about 18 months ago I cut it
Bonito los diseños quiero una
ナイス ウッドスリングショット‼️Amazonで売ってたら買いた👍
That is a sexy little frame.
That's a nice job. Great video.
How long does a natural fork typically need to be left to dry out, before you can make something like these? Is there a special process to speed things up it is it just patience and time?
It's typically patience and time
If you cut a green hardwood fork and expose it to heat then you have a good chance of it cracking on you.
If you cut it then leave it to dry naturally for a month then expose it to heat you really reduce the risk of cracking
It. It's always better to have it dry naturally. Dead standing wood is a good option but again it will still need a few weeks to climatise to a indoor dry environment.
Hardwoods are all different some take much longer than others. Green oak or Blackthorn like this will take 2 years to dry naturally as the wood is very dense, it's hard for the residual moisture to escape. A fork can feel dry but then once you cut into it its still got moisture inside if this happens the timber will warp or crack. Ash and hazel are faster drying Hardwoods. Hope this helps
@@CatapultCarnage that's a really detailed answer, thanks for taking the time 👍🏻
hi friends! I am also working on this topic , nice to meet you all
Which size band is suitable for hunting.
0.75mm r 0.80mm
Buddy, what is the tip and the wide of this fork?
How many min thick tires do you use?
Give screw fix no nonsense super glue a try not sure if it will be good for filling but it’s 3 quid for 50 grams so mite be worth a try
Any tips to prolong the life of that. 5 SS so fast but deteriorates so quick
I'm using .5 SS and i find it super durable. I cut mine at my draw length divided by 5.5 ..... Hope this helps.
Try adding 10mm in overall length and 2mm overall width for similar performance but with added band life
Can you share their measurements ?
Fine craftsmanship and awesome shooting! Have you seen my new shooting video?
Mate, I want to buy a catty. How do I go about it?
