Thanks for sharing you idea , as someone who likes to collect Natural forks ,, I enjoyed watching your slingshot materialize. All the more Amazing as each strike of the Axe seemed as though it would render the project finished. Thanks for showing your tools too. Can't wait to show my son ,

I wonder how some rivets made from copper rod would work for holding the handle on🤔? They would allow you to see the contrast between the two woods as well.

As a leatherworker, I would suggest covering the rawhide grip with a softer leather. That rawhide can really mess up your hand if you use the slingshot a lot. Well done!

Christ, that's only like 45 pound pull at most for a sling shot, gotta get some steel cut it into a Y and then some industrial extra strength rubber. Made one as a teen and it'd go through 3/8s plywood like a bullet but still cleared 1/2 plywood. Thing was close to 100 pound pull afterwards lol.

@@ChopWithChris very responsive of you :-) slingshots are pretty cool, I never could shoot one when I was younger, no one gave me any pointers when I was a little kid so I gave up and recently started getting into them, I've made two now and just have to Tie bands to the second one now that I bought some gum rubber off Amazon. If you haven't looked up Rufus hussey the bean shooter, check him out for sure, amazing legend from the Carolinas.

Hi Chris, I noticed that you have aids on your wrists and elbows, I am amazed that you can chop with this level of damage to your arms. I Know you love to make things in the way you have always made them, but when it impacts as much as swinging an axe around I think it is time to do some serious thinking. I hope you are well and continue to stay that way.
