Man, my experience with this game vs this review couldn't be more different. A corridor simulator dressed up as an open world adventure, goblins, lizards, harpies, repeat. Antiquated designs and systems rolled into a disgracefully unoptimized package. On paper, this should have been a hit, but it's anything but. Give me my 10 hours back!

1st game is great, I'm going to fet this when I get a Ps5 along with Baldura Gate, Robocop and Ff7 rebirth. Great basic RpG that does the beat bita right, Pawn system is great. All the game needs is better story and a few additions ad it would be the perfect action RpG. Sick of Bethesda games and hate the Souls games batsh!t logic/story.

Watching 4 young gaming commentators discover that aging affects how you view things is funny. You are a living allegory for the maturing of the industry. It's changing to an income generating machine. As little input as feasibly possible to create as much profit as achievable. The artistic aspect of the industry sits in the indie fringe. The block busters exist but there is differential set of levels separating out like the movie biz. Low risk high profit.

U remember first time seeing the trailer's i knew that this is gonna look great, but be shit. I was right and laughing my ass of seeing people so angry about the game, The same when the fast and furious game. Also looked at the trailer and said this both look like shit and seems it plays like shit

Despite the negatives, Stellar Blade is my game of the year so far. Which is crazy because I just couldn't get into Nier. I honestly found myself really invested in the mostly faceless side characters. While the story isn't the best it's good enough to keep my attention and I do really like some of the reveals (the couple I didn't see coming make new game plus quite a different experience.)

Wow, never expected to see Alanah as a guest here. What a pleasant surprise. I really, really like her sometimes quite different, well thought "inside"-perspective on the gaming industry and been a fan for years. That being said... I think it was a bit rocky for her in some parts and she was quite often over-talked or cut-off by you guys. I would suggest you guys try to do that stuff together again... and again... and again... Loved that episode.

I can really feel how you went in to this wanting so much to like the game, because on paper it does sound so cool and it has a killer aesthetic, and in the end I can hear how frustrated you were to be so disappointed. Succinct and very well-done review. This game really looks (and sounds) very, very undercooked.

I’ve imagined playing a game that looks like this…probably most of my life. Visually it’s a dream come true. Can’t wait to play.

As a huge immersive sim fan, there is no bigger turn-off than "procedural generation roguelike".

this "creator" talks out his arse. e=a2 = b+c2 the game is basic af, its just poorly designed. prey was a good game 6/10, very strong in art and polish. mooncrash eased the blueballs of never having enough ammo so it makes u feel good after playing prey main game but its not well designed. prey is a solid 6/10 mooncrash is also a 6/10 but if they combined the best elements of prey and mooncrash it would be a solid 8/10

I think there is an important lesson to be learned here. Companies that release a game early (before working out the kinks) or focus on monetization over game design also won’t put in the time to fix it in the long run. Profits over playability is a real thing and nothing will kill a game faster than that.
