You missed something massive in the tarkov news aswell. In the new mode they added despite it being an offline mode it is completely online and cheaters can force their way into those lobbies and break the economy of the game in both online and offline play and offline play has ping limiters so you can be kicked from "offline matches" because your internet isn't fast enough.

Get your facts straight, it was never described as "Offline Mode" (Single Player) though some may have wanted that, it's a Co-op (PvE) mode, for a PvP game.
Obviously it's going to require online, to do a co-op mode in a previously PvP game, they were never going to remake the game a Single Player game with split-screen co-op.
Tarkov Devs have made enough insane moves, no need to start inventing equally insane "offline modes" for unfinished PvP game.

Also great that it mentions not being free for Super Citizens aka deluxe-edition buyers. We weren't offered anything for that extra upfront cost except some cosmetics and the Stratagem Hero arcade game on our ship, so no one would be mad.

Every single Bethesda game in history is a buggy mess, even years after release. Can't for the life of me understand why people praise these games. Their game engine is so janky and outdated, every game looks like complete shit. The character animations alone are just laughable, yet they just recycle the same garbage over and over.

They don't care because they don't need to care. Gamers will pay for the new edition. They vote with their wallets, and almost always vote to pay. That's the reason more and more studios feel so comfortable milking and scamming their players.

Bit of an update on the Fallout 4 Steam Deck situation: Valve released a Proton hotfix that fixes the half frame rate issue on the Deck OLED (the issue never occurred on LCD models). Additionally, you can get the launcher (and thus the graphics options) back by adding "SteamDeck=0 %command%" (without the quotation marks) to the launch options.
You gotta love Valve. Fixing the problems that developers should have.😂
Same thing I had to do with Skyrim. I already knew the fix from that. Both games have the launcher on my deck.
Borderlands has an optional HD texture pack in the in game store for free, fallout is obviously way different but the fact that gearbox figured out how to do optional updates years ago and Bethesda STILL messes it up is insane lol
Fallout 4 and Skyrim also have free optional “high resolution” texture packs on the steam store.

I'm happy that Manor Lords is doing so well. Its exactly the type of game I wish large studios would make. Dave the diver also falls into that category. Instead of trying to make one game that is the biggest block buster ever, make multiple smaller limited scope games that mix genres and cross pollinate ideas.

So it’s shooting fish and doing some little mini game at night I put it down Then after trying multiple huge budget titles (including 70 hrs in ff rebirth but I’m just a fan of that stuff) I was like man I just want something simple And 40 hours later I’m still playing Dave the diver everyday Fucking love that game Tried sand land No thanks Tried stellar blade ( as I get older I just can’t keep up with the difficult for me combat And felt like a pussy playing on story mode) But Dave the diver is just so so so good at what it does

Honestly, I love the fact that Everspace 2 is still getting love from the devs. When I played No Man's Sky, I always wanted a bit more from the spaceships, both in combat and utility. Everspace 2 does that really well. (And the in-game music is banging)

I'd love to think the Sonic Google Play thing was just a cute example of a brand account being dumb and out-of-touch, but, as someone who works in marketing, I believe the fuck-up was the intentional decision of a social media manager. A Twitter account gets a lot more attention when engagement is stirred up, and hardly anyone would have cared to respond if accurate Sonic facts were posted. Even moreso if other corporate accounts with huge followings (i.e. the official Sonic account) were enticed to respond.

So I’m one of those people who has gotten back into Fallout 4 after watching the TV series. I had been steering clear of the game for a while as it had become the most played game on my PC (that has since been overshadowed by Cyberpunk 2077, which probably says something about me and my tolerance for janky games.) outside of a few mods not working, I haven’t had the same issues others have had with the recent patch, but I have noticed something odd with it.
In addition to the various fixes and “upgrades” the new patch is supposed to come with some new content including the addition of some new Enclave missions and encounters. Problem is that the content is tied to Creation Club for some reason. What that means is if you get the game on GOG which sells games without DRM and in the case of Fallout 4, no Creation Club.
I decided to get the GOG version for my new play through of the game, even though I already have the game on Steam, because I was able to get it on there for cheaper (I think I spent about $10 AUD for it) and it might make it easier to get the Fallout London mod when it comes out (to my understanding the mod is going to be hosted on GOG, it doesn’t require that you have the GOG version for it, but it might make things a bit smoother.) I then found myself switching back to Steam for the game due the new content not working with the GOG version. Weird thing is it looks to me that the files for this new content is in the GOG version, they just don’t do anything due to them being tied to Creation Club for whatever reason. If the intent was for this content to be available to all versions, then maybe it should have been put in like DLC.
There was a thought that maybe this was to get people to look at Creation Club and maybe spend some money there, but that would make sense if you had to go in there to download or activate the new content there. Seems to me that’s not necessary, it’s installed with the new patch, it just tied to Creation Club for no reason other than to create this stupid situation. Great work Bethesda.

The Fallout 4 next gen version works well on consoles. Not sure why they even released it on PC though.
Ive still not been able to activate the automatron content on ps5. Deleted and reinstalled the game twice and still. Works fine on ps4 version ( i passed on updating that version)

I still had to manually load all the dlc packs, not a cardinal sin but I've seen wildly varying reports on what's not working for whom. The trophies not carrying over kinda sucks but whatever, the real crime is how this update isn't even skin-deep. A truly pitiful offering, even for free

Just picked up Everspace 2 this last weekend (50% off everywhere still I think) and it's fantastic looter shooter with Descent/Freelancer vibes. Really glad they moved away from the roguelike style from the first game and the control is just spot on. Lots of cool RPG elements to play with too.

The tarkov news is unbelievable, but it’s not the first offender. I can think of 2 games that has done something similar, battlefield and destiny. Destiny took away expansions and said “pay me more” for the next expansions, and battlefield gave you priority in Que’s for premium members
It truly makes you wonder how much people are invested in Destiny 2, including expansions/DLC, season passes, storefront. People would be in for thousands of dollars easily.

i firmly believe starfield will never truly "fix" itself and address all of the problems people had with it. tons of it's core design traits are things people complained about other bethesda games for years and starfield just doubled down on them
but against all odds, there will still be people saying things like "bro it's good now i swear" or "starfield was always good" like how fo76 got or cyberpunk (neither games were good at launch even if cyberpunk has improved greatly now)
Cyberpunk was good at launch. It was a technical mess, absolutely, but the core game was amazing.
That's why the redemption arc was possible. Because they didn't have to redo the whole game from the ground up.
Starfield on the other hand? They'd have to change the whole game for it to be worth something.
Don't really think a DLC can save Starfield, they would need to rework the entire game to make it less tedious and so lacking of soul. Especially after the new F4 patch disaster.
You'll have to experience the base game consistently to play the dlc, and subjecting myself to that wouldn't be worth it unless the dlc revolutionized the game itself.
They don't either, but they have to get their money out of the stuff they cut from the release version
In all honesty, the only thing that really bothered me enough to disincentive me from playing Starfield anymore is the too-constant loading screens. If they somehow reduced those, then I'll jump back in.
Even as someone who already has paid the cost for Shattered, I can't see myself reinstalling it until that particular issue has been at least partially resolved.
@@ferrite1707 Well that is entirely engine limitations which will never be fixed. They can't just magically make the game work outside the bounds of the foundation they used. It's like people saying "Just let me fly through space to each planet" there is a very clear disconnect with reality. It's like you buying a car and pointing at the salesperson and demanding they make it fly and move at the speed of sound. Not happening.
Their engine is ancient and needs tossed out. I bet their buried in tech debt.

Re: Tarkov, you should also note that PvE was promised to be a fully-fledged feature when Edge of Darkness Edition was available in the early days. That feature was basically dropped and now they're trying to charge more for it.
Have fallout 4 running in perfect 40fps on steam deck. When I heard about the update i immediately turned off wifi so it wouldn’t automatically update.
I knew Bethesda would mess this up and I wasn’t about to ruin my experience.
Turn off Wi-Fi? You can turn off auto update.
On steam you can turn off updates for games, might have to do that from an actual PC, don't own a deck.
@@LogicalError007 I did turn off the auto update. But I know with some games if there’s an update waiting and you’re online it won’t let you play the game till you update. I know it’s like that on console wasn’t sure about steam deck so to be safe I just turned it all off lol.
Bethesda outright gaslighting players and saying the XBox version is ‘working as intended’ is absolutely insane and for all the pitchfork mobs we’ve seen with games lately I am shocked no one cares about this. When lamenting that the XBox version not only runs at lower visual settings than the One X (to get 60 fps I’m sure), runs noticably worse than PS5 in Performance Mode, and is completely MISSING the ultra settings Quality Mode, people told me to ‘shut up, stop pixel counting, and play the game). This was clear as day when comparing them myself at launch and now that DF have confirmed this it is even crazier. I almost believed Bethesda and thought I was crazy. All of my saves are on XBox and I wanted to play the game at the new ultra visual settings. I don’t mind getting the plat on PS5 as I love the game, but the fact that it launched in this state on XBox’s own console from a now first party studio, these are glaring bugs and the patch is missing a major advertised feature, is unacceptable, and even moreso Bethesda gaslights players who pointed this out to boot. Nevermind the shitshow that is the PC version. People should not be defending this whatsoever. But this is what happens when we mix console wars into major bugs. The blanket defense force doesn’t want to hear it. And this happens far too often with both Sony and XBox fans alike. Bethesda needs to address and fix this asap. This is ridiculous.

@@vintageoriginallegit every developer does this but the reason Bethesda gets called out is that while every developer breaks things in updates they themselves fix them on the otherhand in Bethesda case, developer doesn't bother to fix the broken things and instead calls in modders to do so.
@@muzamilnabinadroo I mean I think most people who say this haven’t even played any Bethesda games and if they have they haven’t experienced any bugs. I platinumed fallout 4 on PlayStation and beat it fully modded on Xbox no problems I’m currently streaming new Vegas trying to get the platinum 40 hours in and just two freezes. Fallout 3 was great for me same with Skyrim I played on consoles so never had modders fix anything for me

Cool, would you mispronounce someone's name just because youre not from there and then say something like "I'm not French?" That's one way to do it. But you do you. Some people understand the correct way to say a word is all.
