Any time! Number One says she liked Alpe better because of the constant great views when you're hiking/walking. Ritten has a cute train you can take back and forth across the ridge. She also says trying to choose which is best is like trying to name your favorite child! However, if she had to choose which to revisit, she says Alpe.

Great question! There were more things within walking/hike distance of Alpe, but the free e-bikes were handy for getting out and about to see more near Ritten. The rooms, food, service and views are nearly identical--- and by that I mean fantastic. So, to answer your question--- I can't answer your question! It's a toss up for me. I think you are correct. In December, 2019, SAA was placed under "business rescue". You may remember that was the same month The first known case of COVID-19 was identified in Wuhan, China. The timing for SAA could not have been worse. According to Wikipedia: "In April 2020, following a request for further emergency financing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the South African government announced that it would stop funding the airline with immediate effect." Hi, Bill! This was recorded in June 2022. At that time, masks were NOT mandatory for passengers, but --- I think--- all crew members wore masks as there was still some virus going around. Hi ..yes have sailed crystal but only once 2016.. fabulous itinerary ( we mostly do the Mediterranean).. but the ship crystal symphony I felt was to big with far to many venues on board with nobody in them.. not small & cosy like silversea also the starting price level suites are extremely small compared to level entry with silversea..I have looked at the new crystal since the new owner ship but I'm still a silversea girl 😂..happy sailing on crystal.. will look out for your thoughts on sailing crystal..

No. But, there is a "quiet" room with nearly lie-flat loungers. You could deff take a nap there. We did! Thanks for the question!
