Welcome aboard the magnificent Crystal Symphony!
We’ll begin our tour in a moment, but first let me tell you about some related upcoming videos. They include tours of six different suites on the ship, a complete guide to all the dining on the ship, a typical twelve-day experience on Symphony AND a comparison: Crystal versus Silversea. Which is best for you?

Symphony is one of just two ships in the Crystal Fleet (the other being Serenity). However, Crystal has announced they have signed a binding agreement with an Italian shipbuilder to build two new ocean-going classic ships for them. The first ship is expected to be delivered in the Spring of 2028.
Symphony entered service in 1995 and has been refurbished and updated several times since, the latest in 2023.
She has a guest capacity of six-hundred six.
There are twelve decks on Symphony, with decks one, two and three off-limits to passengers, and the only time you’ll set foot on deck four is to embark or disembark depending on the port of call.
In this video, we’ll tour decks twelve and eleven and decks six and five. The other decks, ten through seven, are all the filled with suites and guest rooms.
In an upcoming video, we will tour six different categories of suites and guest rooms for you, so be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications and you’ll be one of the first to know when that video is posted.
So, let’s start the tour at the top, deck 12.
Okay-- here’s the layout for deck five. The fore of the ship is filled with suites and guest rooms, but the mid-ship has the concierge, reception and excursion desks, and a fantastic cocktail bar, Crystal Cove. But, the bulk of deck five is the Waterside Restaurant.
And, I must note one design flaw on deck five: there is just one set of bathrooms on this deck, and they are situated about as far away from Waterside as you can get. Crystal really should consider installing bathrooms at the back of the restaurant for the convenience of passengers.
Crystal Cove has an extensive cocktail menu including twenty different gin and tonic pairings, each with it’s own unique garnish.
Waterside is the ship’s largest dining venue. There are 430 seats here and the menu changes daily and let me tell you-- it was impressive each and every time we dined here. Waterside is open every day for breakfast and dinner, and also open for lunch when Symphony is at sea.
So, that’s it: a tour of beautiful Crystal Symphony!
Until then, please post any comments or questions below. Thanks for watching and --bon voyage!
