3 South Africa is cheap! Especially when compared to the US dollar. Here we got a glass of wine for two bucks and a pizza for six.
4 South Africa is the only country in Africa that is gay friendly. Any form of discrimination against the LGBTQ community is constitutionally forbidden.
5 South Africa is number one in rugby! The national team-- known as the Springboks- are the top-ranked rugby team in the world and reigning World Champions.
6 You may be without electrical power for hours each day! South Africa’s energy crisis began in 2007 and when demand exceeds supply, power is rationed thru a system called “load shedding”.
7 You’ll see LOTS of white cars there. Why? White cars reflect 60% of sunlight compared to dark-coloured cars, so they fare better in the heat!
