Lugh Samildánach : Irish God Of Justice & The Sovereign Reach Of Lugh Lámfhada | Irish Mythology
The Irish god of nobility and the former king of the Tuatha Dé Danann, Lugh is was one of the most important Celtic divinities particularly in Ireland. Lugh of the long arms was more accurately portrayed as a master of all crafts and a cunning warrior, a prominent figure in many stories of Irish mythology, especially where he leads the Tuatha Dé Danann at the second battle of Moy Tura. Despite the popularity of his name in the Celtic world, the meaning behind it has been the source of significant debate causing differences in its pronunciation, often changing from Lug, Lughr and Lugh depending on the account. In a context of Indo-European languages, Lugh is thought to be connected to the Proto-Indo-European word Leuk-, which means brightness or light. This further strengthens his association to the sun, as the deity is often considered a solar figure in Celtic mythology. Lugh was also a trickster who was willing to cheat to overcome his opponents, so the Irish god was in this manner similar to Lugus, a trickster entity pictured by the Romans as the Gaulish Mercury. Lugh went by numerous epithets including the common Lugh Lámfhada, meaning Lugh of the long arms. What seem interesting is that he was given this epithet not because his arms dragged on the ground, but because his weapons extended his reach beyond other warriors’ abilities. So his prowess using magical artifacts made him a fierce opponent in battle. These incredible weapons in his possession involved not only a deadly sling, but a legendary spear belonging to the Tuatha Dé Danann. The Cath Maighe Tuireadh, Lugh was apparently the grandson of the Fomorian king Balor through Ethniu, and his father was Cian of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Lugh quickly rose to a high position in the court of king Nuada as told in the Lebor Gabála Érenn also known as the Book Of Invasions.

Set is not evil. He was the Protector of not only Egypt from Invaders but he also was the Protector of the sun god Ra. Set was very loyal to Ra and constantly protected him from Apophis. Ra actually wanted Set to be the next king but ISIS poisoned Ra and forced him to make her husband Osiris king, so that she could be queen. The reason why he is demonized so much is because of the followers of Osiris and Horus.

Very well researched and put about the origins of shiva aspre Vedic god or pre Aryan . Hence great social reformer and leader Periyar asserts that Shiva is the indigenous god of india, no wonder Shiva and Shivism is the supreme religion sect of hinduism to people of south india and worship. He further asserts that rudra being refferenced in right veda as shiva, who is dark skinned, who is furious like a boar or bull and the tunder weapons thrown by shiva kills the Aryan god Indra and cattles of the Aryans, so hence to please shiva and get protection by him , they created rudrachamakam and began worshipping him as god by doing rudrabhishegam to cool him and this is how shiva got assilimated into god in Hinduism.
