  • The Hindu goddess Durga also known as Maa Durga, Durgatinashini and even Devi, is probably the most popular female form of the supreme being from Hindu Mythology/Religion. Durga is highly venerated by Hindus as she also bears the name of Shakti, the female principle of divine energy. In the traits of Parvati and Sati, Durga is the consort of Lord Shiva and one can't be without the other, Shakti is shiva and Shiva is shakti representing the twofold of Brahman.
In ancient Hindus texts, the goddess Durga is often depicted as a beautiful gold-skinned woman with many arms holding each a weapon given to her by different gods. the goddess Durga rides upon a lion or a tiger, symbolizing her domination over courage and determination as she is fearless and bestow fearlessness upon her devotees.
In Hindu Mythology, Gods and goddesses are believed to appear on Earth in the guise of many other deities, and Durga is not different. She is known as Mahishasura Mardini, the slayers of the buffalo demon Mahishasura. She is Kali, the black goddess of destruction, and in the trait of Ganga, Maa Durga blesses anyone who bathe in her Ganges.
Another classification of the goddess is in the form of Navadurga, which is a collection of nine female deities known among women devotees, and comes with a festival known as the Navaratri which is celebrated for nine days across India. However, the most popular festival associated with Durga is the Durga Puja festival.
Durga appear in many stories in the Mahabarata and puranas, but her most popular story is the slaying of the demon king Mahishasura. she is the mother of prosperity and arts, for her daughters are Lakshmi and Saraswati, the goddesses of wealth and knowledge respectively.

Almost made me cry to see the Dasha Mahavidyas, such little content on them...
And, I have a special love for one of the members, Dhumavati...
I have met her, seen her, in my inauspicious home...and even been blessed by her with Siddhis.
(she loves inauspicious, repelled by the auspicious, because there are good things about being poor, mostly spiritual hahahaha 😆)
    🙏🏻

@@abhishekghosh4384 At first...She would appear in my room and just look at me and teleport around and speak telepathically which takes getting used to, btw..
But she would guide me on things to do and train me.
During 2 lunar events last year, she had me do some stuff...the clouds changed in real time, her face and body appeared as clouds and the moon was her eye.
Then, same event, made a an ankh symbol for life and enlightenment out of Moonlight and Cloud and then a labyrinth symbol for protection against bad spirits and demons out of Moonlight and Cloud...and I was surrounded by these type of night time yogini, in their energy forms, very beautiful and peaceful.
Reminded me of jelly fish or large single cells made from code and energy.
You know, stuff like that... just every day normal stuff like that. 😜
I'm poor as fuck and not very auspicious, which are things she likes.
And she likes me because I don't discriminate against her and see her as being her best self...she is my friend.
In other words, I try to treat all gods as valid and just as worthy of love and worship as any other and auspicious gods aren't better than inauspicious ones... and being poor has uses benefits, which is why Aesthetics in Hinduism, and orher religions, exist.

@@Arwar555 there is this thing that many of these gods were actual people and the stories we have of them are true to some extent , except for the magical elements .
and after their death their followers gave them the divine status
like krishna being an actual king called vasudev ,
Ram also being an actual king
(these are historic figures given divine status , and there seems to be evidence suggesting this
and Shiva being as old as harrappan civilization itself , so parvati having existed as someone real is a possibility
      etc.. etc..
same thing with mahabharat , in mahabharat it's written that this mahabharat war is "ithihass"
itihaas doesn't translate to history ,this a a common myth . , itihaas actually means history told thru stories with mystical elements and sometimes not ,
the objective was always to teach lessons they these stories to the next generation ,and look at Geeta or mahabharat as a whole , it still teaches life lessons about human nature ,moral dilemmas etc.. mahabharat, Gita- are not books to tell them about preaching religion ,

In olden times these were the ways to convey extremely difficult and complicated concepts to common folks. As one says pictures speak volumes than words. So a picture of Maa Durga representing the cosmic energy strikes a chord immediately. Volumes of research papers or thesis cannot convey the information as quickly as a picture of Maa Durga clad in red, holding the most powerful weapons of those times ans riding the lion could convey. Jai Maa Durga.

I find it sad that the majority of the major religions and faiths are masculine based...written by the masculine only gives that aspect of energy..... ultimately the feminine energy is as important and one can not be without the other. The feminine is actually more powerful but hardly known of in that way by mankind. 😮We need the feminine mindset, energy to take us all out of ignorance, darkness for a better world and person.
I have felt the power of durga spirit save me from a negative force once.... my god....did I roar like a lion....the power of that roar from within me actually freaked me out.... it was only when I investigated I realised that her spirit had entered my body and saved my soul.... ❤

The Creator is Allaah Exalted and Most High ☝️🕋 as is well known. To whom belongs the Kingdom of the Seven Heaven's and Earth 🌎 and all in Between. Everything comes as his Creation so Worship is only for him for which we are Created too. Idol Diety and Statue Worship or Norse,Sumerian,Aztek,Avatars and Greek Gods or Goddesses are no more than Untrue Myths that have no right to be Worshipped and so why all False Dietys are forbidden by the Prophet Ibraheem until the last day.. God's Grace and Mercy comes free so nobody needs to go through any Idols. Prophet Ibraheem was the Father of the Prophet's and all The Prophet's were Paternal Brothers so no exemption can be made, even with the Final and Seal of the Messengers. Prophet Muhammad. Peace be upon them all and families.

You have to define who you are talking about more than that... If you mean the creator of all, they aren't male.
If you dig even into the roots of Christianity, which you seem to be on, you get into Gnostic gospels...
And there it says the creator of the creator was female, named Sophia, which is Greek for Wisdom, as is what female form means in Hinduism and Buddhism... And the Demiurge was who made the material world... And then if you dig back more the oldest Bible is in Egypt, Nag Hammadi library... Showing the edits made to the Bible even before the Dead Sea Scrolls were penned and the Bible we know and hate was made by the Roman government, which burned and banned anything they didn't like and then committed wholesale crimes against humanity killing anyone who disagreed, another series of facts, as a weapon to control the masses, bonus fact...
And, after you have researched Egyptian and Hinduism beliefs, you can see them in the teachings of Jesus, who was a tantric yogi Sage who manifested Siddhis and Riddhis, magical powers of Hinduism (and Buddhism and others) in all awakened beings, specifically mentioned walking on water and matter duplication and matter transmutation, etc...
Fun fact... The Star of David (and its other names) existed first in Hinduism... The world's oldest religion, another fact...blamo.
Also, the demiurge is directly comparable to Brahma in Hinduism, especially before he had his 5th head cut off to make him balanced... 😆
And another fun fact, the Bible specifically mentions India by a different name and its teachings... And you can clearly see the teachings of Egypt and India in Greece, but poorly understood... Haha because "WESTERN CIVILIZATION IS THE SMARTEST BIGGEST BRAINS EVER" LMAO... 💩💩💩🤡🤡🤡
They have the Linga, Ganesh on coins, all sorts of plagiarized stuff...
So yeahhhhhhh.... You're worshiping a knock off and a poorly understood one... Sorry, not sorry...

Mother Parvati incarnated as Durga and was “gifted” weapons by Gods. It means she is the creator and the creation. All the Gods n Celestial being gave her gifts.

I want to correct you on your last sentence. I did not say she went to battle without weapons, I said she appeared without any weapon, and then other gods "gifted" their weapons to her. She knew why she was called on.

if you say "religion or dharma" you should rethink your choice to make videos on Hinduism. It's my and many's ways of living. don't disrespect it with nonsense. Also, Hinduism doesn't believe in a female creator. Shakti is the energy that lies in everything and nothing in this universe. And let's not go at all into the innumerous philosophical inaccuracy.

Ok the story is Mahish was a Bengali king standing against Aryan invasion. Finally, Durga suceeded to defeat him. The winner writes history. So, over praise of Durga turned her into a goddess and on the contrary, Mahish became asur (demon). And the natives became the lowest caste of impurity and untouchable. Makes sense.
