The scene in the dub threw me off track more than the sub, as you don't have subtitles while watching the dub, which forces you to think twice as to what they just said, in this case as Reiner casually talked to him and, out of nowhere, reveals the secret amidst their conversation while maintaining the same normal tone, which couldn't be figured out so easily if there weren't subtitles, which makes this scene worth watching more in the dub than in the sub.

You know I really feel for Reiner,he wants to do the right thing in world where no one knows what is right anymore and any righteousness shown is shamed on and ridiculed as stupidity

the dub really stands no chance against the sub in this moment, the jp voice actor has so much more emotion to his lines. theres a hint of sadness, insanity, and absolute conviction nearing the end. literally going through the stages of grief with his short 30 second monologue reveal.
