No idea where the UI button is to open this panel, but it's super useful to see when planes are about to do things or how delayed things are. ETA: When dealing with staff shortages, click/hover the staff count at the bottom (between the passenger count and the baggage count) to pop up a list of positions, and how many staff, claimed jobs, and unclaimed jobs there are for each position.

You mentioned in the last video about having dedicated stands for emergency craft, I don't think you can have a working stand be left empty while using the auto-planner. That said could it work if you only open the stand for use when the emergency happens and then close it again once it's sorted? the COO shouldn't be booking planes in for a stand that isn't working and usually seems to take a day or so to update to book in later flights. If that does work you could have a section away from the main terminal for the 3 stands and hangers with a small terminal building to support them should passengers need it.

Given the issues coming up with the shuttle buses I'd suggest when the new terminal(s) come up to make sure and medium or large stand has a terminal to support it and only to use the shuttle bus services for the smaller stands. I don't know if there is a limit on how many people you can fit in a bus but if your having to make multiple trips to load/unload passengers from planes it's going to be adding to the problem.

You can have air shuttle bus stop to be arrivals only that should cut congestion... click on a plane stand and connect it from there

You wouldn't be bummed by the not fitting or not well lined things... If you had used the planner tool in the game...

Do a single staff only security stand going through the staff room so it’s not a bunch of staff getting clogged in the passenger check points. Also, go back and rotate the security stands to run along the right and left sides so you can do better checkpoints.

I tried to get into airport ceo, but just couldn't; I always went back to SimAirport. Been a fun series so far, I'll have to give it a try again.

Aberdeen Airport does this, you land and leave through the airport departure lounge, I live up north so I am used to it, but for visitors not from the area it's probably usually. 22:44 The weirdest airports are Wick or Kirkwall, they put your bags on the runway or throw them on a baggage cart which you grab as the leave the plane 😂

Hey conflict nerd, I was looking at that tiny staff room that you made by the check in bathrooms and I was thinking that you should turn that into a single, staff only security checkpoint. You should be able to fit a small one in there and have it to where your employees can go through that one to cut back on time it takes janitors to get around and ramp agents. Just make sure you select it as a staff only checkpoint otherwise you'll have people queueing for it.

You could consider extending the terminal underground for the arrival buses and filter the arrival passenger directly to the baggage claim to segregrate your arrivals and departures passengers.

I cant understand why your local airport pays a surcharge for simply being at the airport. My local airport is sydney kingsford smith which is currently the only airport in the city (6 million in the city and another million or so in the sister cities to the north and south) and the only surcharge we have is for the train stations that are operated seperately from the rest of the Sydney trains network. My most recent trip to the airport was in november where i flew from Sydney to Brisbane and despite having a 8am flight the only trouble i had was the traffic heading towards the city and airport from the south where the toads were backed up for a fair few kms despite it being the crack of dawn. Taking into account kingsford smith airport is the only public airport until Western Sydney International airport opens in a year or so you would expect it to be a place if any to have a surcharge considering it has been at capacity for years and not being able to expand due to the proximity to the city. Public institutions and corporations seem to only know one thing and that is money, more so now than ever. I know that if that surcharge did ever happen here though there would he major backlash considering sydney to melbourne and sydney to brisbane are both in the top 15-20 busiest air routes in the world (used to be 2nd and 7th or so) and with almost half of the people living in the city being born overseas or having immigrant parents there would be major backlash from them. I hope your local airport does something about this and fixes that problem but knowing todays world it seems unlikely.

You could’ve rotated your security checkpoints 90 degrees, and make 2 corridors on the sides leading to the back corridor and the elevator effectively allowing you to add way more checkpoints 16:34

@Conflictnerd if you connect a road directly to the road that's sticked to the stand it will still work, like I mean even if it doesn't look connected it still is

have you thought about an underground corridor to the other side of the planes? you even has those special walkways too (the moving road) for the passengers to use.

Not sure if you've done it yet, either, but you can toggle one (somewhere) to send flights along at their designated times whether they are ready to go or not (due to bags/passengers/etc).

The security setup wont last if you add a few more gates, so you limited yourself to needing a new terminal in less than 5 episodes Also you need to add a single security desk where the old setup was, and set it just for staff Also add janitors and security to the secure staff room

you should let your janitors use the ramp agent employee room so they don't have to go through security each time.

can connect a road to the side of the stands it wil work as a intersection but graphics dont change on the stand

there is a way to make certain stands that you can use only for emergencies by going into the flight planer and clicking on the stand you want in the yellow bit and saying i dont the planer to plan flights on this stand but you will still need to meet the stands requirements or it will keep complaining.

Casually built an aircraft stand next to an active runway approach is also how I'm gonna do it.

I'm enjoying this series again. How do you keep your staff happy? I can only manage around 65% for staff happiness and have a few staff areas and bathrooms.
