Lane math isn't really a thing in transport fever. The premade stuff is made to work, modifying it screws stuff up.
The more cities you connect, the better it will be for civilian traffic

He also almost never uses entrance and exit roads for his stations lol.
If the highway was at the top end of the cities you could have feed it straight into your fulfilment centre. You still could but it would need you to route it through the High Point/Salem gap or all the way around Salem. Also you could put the intercity bus route back and just route it along the highway with a dedicated bus depot for it at each city area.
When your Trucks get stuck in traffic, why don't you use Bes-Lanes, so that they can pass the traffic jam? Works also on country roads. 😉
There are even more usefull tools by WernerK , like Street & Track Splitter Slope-Tool etc. You also should use: Zero hight bridge for nice build slopes, The TFMR Pack (3 mods, whatch the loading sequence), Freestyle- station, which makes you able to change any Track into stations (Pax & Freight). Awesome. Check them out and give it a try.

49:08 You could remove the section of round about between the highway entrance and exit to stop any looping making it just access to the highway or across to the other city this could be done both ends.
I think you should add a second highway exit in San Francisco, just next to the tools factory, coming into the avenue. Also, it might be useful to connect the highway in Garland where the two "rings" of the ring road meet.
Round abouts are very common in my hometown of Carmel, In. Also this highway could start in Kansas City
