I think its funny how much the games itself HATES seeded runs. Like, even in achievements where its physically impossible to get seeded runs before you get them (like getting to world 2), EVERY achievement specifically states that you cant use seeded runs.

if you stand on the altar during sacrifice the exploding corpse also gives blood, so if you stand in the same spot you get extra blood

Theory! The ghost is Chang'e, a woman from a Chinese myth who drank an elixir of immortality, and ascended to the moon as a goddess. This elixir is the remains, as in the legend there was enough for two people to drink from it. She is unable to truly die, being stuck as a ghost. When you flash her with the camera, she looks like a woman wearing traditional Chinese clothing.

You don't have to kill Sparrow during 2-1 of your quest, she only takes it first if you haven't met her yet in your run.

The True Crown gives you 22 bombs every time you teleport, and it isn't "random." you teleport every 22 seconds. It makes Tun angry at you and Shopkeepers charge you more for his items.

A great seed i found for getting the journal entries for the True Crown and Ghist Shopkeeper is 5237CA0B Curse yourself with a pot in 1-1 by bringing it to the totem trap near the exit (requires somewhat precise timing and placement, as the ghost will reach the exit door as you enter it) Blow up the Altar in 1-2 (ignore the door it reveals, there's literally nothing in it) Buy Paste (optionally bombs too) in 1-2 (watch out for the spiders, make sure the Mole already triggered the arrow trap before dropping down) Meet Beg in 1-3, getting more bombs Use Bombs and Paste to reveal Ghist Shop door in 1-4 (go Volcana side) Go to Volcana Get True Crown in 2-1

I just wish the true crown had more viability in runs. For instance, it can teleport you while giving you bombs constantly, but not into blocks or instant death scenarios. Sort of like the telepack. That would be fair, considering the amount of effort it takes to get the crown in the first place.

That’s why I always hide after placing a bomb. Too much ricocheting rocks and arrows.

With Spelunky 2, I normally go by the "best route", Volcana for vladd's cape and a semi decent chance at the Kapala, Tidepool for the gambling and not having to lose my Ankh and I normally skip Ice caves if I have plenty of resources, the main reason I dont normally go to the other path is because its a bit more resource heavy and also overall (im not gonna sugarcoat it) requires more skill, so I appreciate little guides like this because while I am making my way to my first Hundun win, It would be nice to clean up all of the Alt path like stuff off the journal!

The elixir also gives you double health back from anything that heals you. Example: rescuing the dog gives you +2 health

i just want to say with the people who still dont think this will get you anywhere near the million for that badge, let me sum it up oon how to do it. firstly with the dwelling, i would recommend getting the Udjat eye as this will come in play later. if not, then just go on to tidepool with collecting as much gold and gems as possible. if you do get the udjat eye, you are gonna be wanting to go to sunken city, as this makes yourself drag out the run, and have more chance collecting more gold, and idols as they give 35k in sunken city. anyways, i would recommend going to volcana if you get the eye, as not only can you get a crown, because you can get one in both worlds, but you can also get vlads cape which is in my opinion the best back item. anyways you are done with the requirements for worlds 1 and 2. onto the olmec boss fight. i would just do the olmec skip (watch a tutorial if you dont know how to do olmec skip) which will get you the ankh without fighting olmec through the whole boss, but honestly fighting olmec wouldnt make much of a difference as vlads cape (because you should be going to volcana) carries the entire bossfight making the fight a cakewalk. anyways GO TO TIDEPOOL TEMPLE MAINS. while collecting as much gold as possible, do the gambling and get the 5 prizes (make sure to throw the dice then whip it so its 100 percent gonna be a 1 or a 6), this bit comes with a bit of rng, as if you dont end up getting 7's and 12's this run could possibly end if you're going for a 1mil tiamat win. anyways, thats really all required for tidepool, although there is this one tidepool room in seeds where theres clams protecting lots of gems, so that would be huge if you get that room. anyways, next is ice caves, not much to do on ice caves if im being honest, if you're feeling risky you can try finding the mothership (as you wont have the alien compass because we didnt go temple). finding mothership is huge as killing the big alien gives hella gems. now we have neo babylon, not much to do, just collect gold on 6-1 and 6-2, on 6-3, do what is in the video of course. you should be about 7 to 9 hundred grand. if you already have a million, which you might do, then just get the tiamat win by getting one of the guards shotguns and just killing tiamat. if you dont and you didnt plan on going to sunken city then you'll have to try again, as there is no way you will be getting 100+ grand from the boss. if you did plan on going there, perfect! when on sunken city, get as much idols as you can, as i mentioned before. they are 35k and are huge as you should be almost there. remember, you can always smuggle idols in sunken city using waddler. although only one, as in olmec there is none and ice caves i am pretty sure theres always one. anyways, killing hundun drops gems im pretty sure, and you will be left with just over 1 million! you have done it!

For those that don't know, you need an Ankh to sacrifice yourself, I just died and sacrificed myself and it took me to the death screen because the creator didn't make it too clear that you required an Ankh. No hate btw i love this guy.

Do the ghosts that appear in the "Dead are Restless" events count as ghists? They can be seen when you're cursed and can be killed with the camera for coins. If you cant see them and want free coins I think they just roam around the graves.
