I have not played Spelunky HD after I started playing Spelunky 2 so I fear that if I start playing it again I am really bad at it. The controls and physics are so different. :D
Glad to see Spelunky HD getting some love again. This game is oddly satisfying to listen to, and it has a great soundtrack. Also, it has Lil Jay in it before he went to the gym so it's great.
1:20 isn’t even a fail lol Also i forgot to say that in spelunkyHD, the arrows blast you further, you climb ropes incredibly slowly and also the controls are more “sticky” which results in falling in the spikes. 🍀🛒♥️
I'm kinda annoyed that I feel like Spelunky 2 shopkeepers were nerfed in abilities (but buffed in AI). I mean, Spelunky 2 shopkeepers will stun you with any attack, but ones from Spelunky HD will go crazy.

Feel like you’d need to be in volcana and have one of the shopkeeper outposts interfere with the level lay out and maybe then you’d get softlock
Only other thing i can think of is one of those ‘air of compression’ levels in tide pool or just Temple/Sunken city being stupid lol
Just get lucky (rather unlucky) on the push blocks :)

HD has funnier deaths than 2 in my opinion.

why all the mattocks?
Mattocks are incredibly easy to get in spelunkyHD as it is quite often you get a snake pit level in the mines, in which basically = a mattock for free
