Heres a tip for skeletons. The real ones and the fakes are slightly different. The real ones have bigger eyes than the fakes. Hope ur next run doesnt end by a skeleton
Each time you die, your body remains in those caves, rotting until it becomes a skeleton. But some skeletons... they had an Ankh. It just worked with a huge delay!

Happened a lot when a started playing and I hated it. So I created another rule to myself: "always put the rope on either end of those pits, not in the middle". I never got a skeleton on the first or last block at least.

I swear I hate spike skeletons almost as much as moles. I always rope safely into the pit theb try to hop on the skeleton out of muscle memory and die.
Completely unrelated but I was grinding for tina in sunken city for about 20 hours. Not back to back but I did it finally. Rode olmec into lava, got the ankh, survived tide pool and everything beforehand, then went down, died was reborn and out of muscle memory, exited the normal way instead of the sunken city exit. I hate myself.
One time i died by a skeleton at the very start of the Olmec fight, and i still haven't made it passed him. Rly didn't expect that skull to be a full skeleton
If you saw the chart that tells you when it will or when it won't be a Skeleton it works like this If you are on 1 hp, or have an important fragile item in hand, or are climbing down onto to spikes: its a Skeleton. Otherwise, its not a s Skeleton.
Is there any way to mount a friendly mount on spikes, I know it sounds really stupid but I did the shortest possible jump, barely reaching above the spikes and it still kills you.

It's pretty easy to spot a alive skele. Just look at it's head you'll know the difference between the skull item and the skeles head.
