I am 54 and picking up cycling again. I have been quite fanatic until some 25 years ago when I put the sport a side. The hardest thing to do now is trying NOT to race and trying to be faster every training. It even shouldn't be called "training" anymore, but I just can't get rid of that mind set.

If you struggle with the gears get a 44T front and 10-50 rear in 12 speed. Nearly the same low range as a compact and better on the climbs

First of all we have to say to Dave a big "Bravo" for doing this 600km ride.Not many of us can do this....at least i can't at the moment. Well done Dave and we want to see more of these kind of rides,sportives,brevets from you guys. PS: I believe it's Jamie's turn now!!

Devastating!!!! I was 2.1 KM from the top Huge thunderstorm's made my internet drop a couple times when I was able to log back on ZWIFT.. I was asked to resume my ride I was over joyed thinking I was going to be placed 2.1 KM from the top. NOOOOO I was placed at the base of the climb.. I have not been back since...But it is on my list to be completed some day.

!985 - we gotta make this stuff tougher 1995 - we have built the ultimate parts. 2025 - we only need to make it tough enough to last a 3 month loaner on youtube influencers.

I wish bike geometry was better. All the websites say I should be a 54 medium (I'm 5'9"). I went to a bike shop to try a Specialized Allez and the 52 small (5'4" to 5'7") fit me perfectly. Without checking I would never have thought a bike "meant" for someone 5" shorter than me would fit. For reference I also tried a Trek and a Giant and I found the small fitted me best as well.
