      I just bought those Bora WTO wheels (not the Bora Ultra) for 2250 euro. They are superb and as long as Campagnolo builds some of the best and most durable wheels out there, the ship isn't going to sink any time soon. People pay 3000+ euro for ENVE SES hookless...
      Happily pumping water out of the ship so it stays afloat!

    €2250 for a power meter? Why not 10K straight? Bike manufacturers are completely out of touch!

    I wish we had 2011 again, when a new group brought 1 additional gear (11-speed) and the weight was less. Nowadays we get a lot of fancy technology, that we can barely maintain, we have to remember to charge it a night before we spontaneously want to ride and the weight is getting to the same level as a late nightlies aluminum bike. The only good thing is braking in wet got better and rims last nearly for ever now that they are no breaking surface anymore, at least until we get a massiv puncture.
    But the worst of all, all of the before mentioned cost unbelievable more money. As someone who started riding in the 90ies I feel a little, little bit fooled, not just by Campagnolo.

    I don´t care about the powermeter.
    Campagnolo soul make a electronic version of Ear.
    I have the normal version and love using it.
    They should also come with wireless for Record and Chorus to get more customers in.
    Shamal with deeper profile could be good.
    So they do have some catching up to do.

    They really need a Chorus-level wireless groupset priced to compete with Ultegra. Leave an Uber-groupset for gentleman cyclists and dentists, and a cheaper group sufficiently removed price- and perception-wise so people won’t cross-shop between the two. And keep a Record-level mechanical/rim brake groupset for the luddites who want the best for their beloved Colnago that gets ridden a few sunny days/year

    Prob has a special battery that needs a specific connector and a subscription app. And a special tool priced at €200euros to access the battery. Surely its cheaper to go to power meter pedals. No doubt the cassette is £100s

    The only people in the road scene where I live that even care about Campagnolo anymore are 50+ dudes. Everyone 40's and younger pays zero attention to them and that is not going to change, it's all Dura Ace and Red.

  • @ThePaulKat
    @ThePaulKat Před 5 měsíci +3

    As with most things you get what you pay for. The Shimano power meter is absolutely worthless junk while their standard cranks catastrophically fail for fun. Credit where credit is due Sram are superb at dealing with their inevitable product recalls.
    That leaves Campagnolo and the premium that comes with it, however unlike the other offerings you do indeed get a premium product. Very soon Shimano & Sram will loose a significant share of their OEM market to the emerging Chinese groupset manufacturers, this will leave them scrabbling with mid tier upgrades as they won’t be able to compete with the Chinese at the lower end or Campagnolo at the premium end.

This is also the first time since I started riding, I wanted an order version of groupsets. No hates, just personal feelings. Please bring back thumb shifters and slim looking derailleur
