read the comments please
lower the music volume
A lot of great info there but music volume was too loud & distracting.
Music a bit loud on this one.
I agree. Loud and annoying.
@hairlines annoying
Distracting af

Always have been
The music is so distracting and annoying
I second this comment. Please get rid of the background noise.
agree. please reupload it with another peaceful music🤣
it’s just too loud. editor did not do a good job
Lose the music!
The background music is not in the background. Edit: The video is unwatchable because of it. Stopped at 4:41, to wit.
I tapped out earlier.
On Di2 when you programme the top buttons on the shifters you can set up a quick press, a long press and a double press to do different things. It makes the two buttons able to cover six functions.
How about morse code or Html based button press program sequences then or time constant based press encriptions or codecs ? Then we will need self replacing batteries as well as self repairing or healing components ? This technology and Strava will both hit a development wall shortly .
After this happens , we will see cosmetic and layout changes to pages only .
@@robertmcfadyen9156what's your problem exactly? Don't have the money to buy di2 ? Sounds like sour milk for breakfast for you....
@@sanynava Television show Doctor Who (BBC) science fiction based comment .
Please reupload without music.
SRAM AXS can also do compensation shifts at the rear when you shift the front derailleur... It's not only Shimano that has that setting. You can even tell it which cassette you have and you can set how many gears it shifts when compensation shifting...
Background music is distracting.
Can't wait for electronic shifting for video/music editors! We will greatly appreciate better background music.
Could hardly hear a word, the music was so annoying
this music is too loud
Awesome video guys ... thanks.
the "BEST" video editing I have ever come across, the main point is the BGM and your content has become "BGM"... hahaha... HILARIOUS~!
Definitely going to need to redo my Garmin pages now!
2:54 I’m still using old style Tiagra shifters (paired with an even older Ultegra derailleur) which has little windows at the top of the shifters with a marker to show you what gear you’re in. Funny that this was removed as seemingly it’s not needed yet pros have added the info to their head units 😅
Why have you only included Shimano in the 'automatic' section? SRAM AXS has sequential shifting with compensation.
Another advancement on the newer SRAM AXS D2 12 speed - especially for TriRigs, is that the Wireless blips can pair directly with the derailleurs so you can build a setup that is completely wireless and doesn’t require the Blip Box as well.
Shimano Dura ace has one similar already .
@@robertmcfadyen9156 Perhaps - but then looks at the difference in cost between that and the Force AXS D2 group set.
@@rickstokes2239 See my advice about LAND CONNECTION best for patches and updates , post . A programmer friend has cracked the Codec , now is working on a ground up package for my bicycle business that will work with Shimano XT equipment . It will be totally unique . More of us should have their own creations to disrupt the big companies .
Can you set up the SRAM for the turbo and wheel? So you tell it which one you have on and it has that trimming saved?
Shimano for the win per usual 🎉
Why is there horrible annoying music playing that detracts from the tips you are providing?
Would be great if you could review the new WheelTop EDS TX groupset 👍
It's so short-sighted of Shimano & SRAM that that artificially prevent their electronic groupsets from working with 10, 11 speed 😞
I'm a big proponent of Di2 syncro mode. Unfortunately the good stuff is only available with 12-speed Di2, unless you add a D-Fly component which then allows you to use the phone. That is built-in with the 12-speed version.
Could I just add a Sram rear mech and blips, and keep my old shifters but without the gear cables = cheapo ;-) How about the front mech "trim" settings, how do they work ?
The Fara bike in the background looks interesting have you done a review of it yet..?
Not yet I’m afraid, it’ll be on the road.cc website in a month or so
How about holding down the shift button and it will keep shifting? Many people i know are unaware.
The shifting speed only affects shift changes when holding the shifter button down. It doesn't affect single shifts.
The hood buttons are only available on ultegra and dura-ace right? Not on 105
Correct, not on 105 😢
You can connect the older generation buttons direct to the battery if you want.
Why are you repeating fields on your display page on the Garmin? You have two fields displaying the battery levels for the Di2 levels and main battery.
The music was fire 😤
Unfortunately gear shift data for sram axs is not available for Sigma... I hope there will implemented in the future
No DRM claims on that music, no one would admit to owning it.
Still mechanical groups on my non e-bike.
An important bit of advice to anyone needing an iron - clad guarantee that a download for any kind of patch or update will have utmost integrity and reliability "SHOULD USE A LAND NETWORK CONNECTION" , when carrying out this procedure . This is what a proper bicycle service facility will always do . I always do it due to the phenomenon "BIT ERROR RATE ISSUES FROM POORER SIGNAL OR LOCAL INTERFERENCE" , when using a mobile phone for this purpose . Home appliances can also jeopardise this process . I have spoken with a broadcast engineer .
In a nutshell best done on a desktop PC or home networked laptop with secondary LAN .
No mention of sequential shifting?
Sequential and custom shifting patterns are here .
Ahhh yes the top tube...best place to clamp a bike 10/10🤦
*No bikes were harmed in the making of this video 😊
Good video but do I agree... music is too loud and distracting. Why have any music playing when someone is talking and explaining something? Did nobody watch this before uploading?
Music playing in the background there’s a little distracting.
most irritating music ever!
Something I still can't do on AXS that apparently Di2 owners can is change pages on their Garmin head unit. C'mon SRAM -- get it together!
I can change pages but it's really slow on my Garmin Edge. I usually press the hood buttons too many times when it doesn't change right away. Not sure if there is a way to speed up the page changes but would really appreciate it if there is.
@@Mgrant8163 I didn't know this functionality existed for SRAM. I wonder why it's slow though.
@@M3GRSD I'm on 12 speed Shimano Di2 but had the same issue on my prior bike that had the first gen of Di2 for 11 speed.
@@Mgrant8163 That's the problem, I know that you can do with Shimano Di2, but it's not available, far as I know, on SRAM AXS. Didn't know it was slow, but at least you can do it.
SRAM “A X S”? You don’t pronounce it SRAM “access”?
Axis
The music was so loud it gave me an aneurysm
капитан очевидность
Can't justify the price of the gearing I still run rim brakes and cable gearing
Why that music!!
Legitimate question: I've always wondered why anyone would want a slower shifting speed? Shimano...Why is that even an option?
For more smooth gear change perhaps?
@@gartblaum How much smoother can it get? I have it on very fast and it's smooth as butter. lol
The shift speed they mention in the video doesn’t actually change the shift speed. The speed of a single shift is always the same. This setting does not make the derailleur move any faster.
What the setting DOES change is the interval (wait time) between multi-shifts. This also matches what was said in the video, something about changes to this setting being most noticeable when you shift through multiple gears at a time.
(…bot surprising, since that is exactly what the setting does :)).
As for why… well, having a shorter wait time between successive shifts could hurt the smoothness, yeah :)
@@BetterShiftingAHHH okay I appreciate you explaining that. Hmmm, what scenarios would warrant the desire to have a "medium" or "slower" shift speed?
@@littlemrdrummer I suppose pedaling slower + no wait time between shifts could get messy :)
The music made the video hard to watch
What will Shimano and SRAM do when shortly they "ARE" going to exhaust the technology which I found out today will happen in 2025 , a software developer for Shimano has confirmed .
I yet to understand why people say sram axs ... it's sram etap that is electric, the axs just means can modify it on a phone, so know I find it annoying as I own sram red etap (11 speed) and it seems electric to me
The eTap refers to the older generation (11-speed) as it has now been dropped from the names of the later groupsets
@@roadcc okay that makes sense, I wish Google knew, when I Google for SRAM etap I have to say 11 speed or it finds axs results
That specialized looks like it’s held together with bubble gum
What happened to just riding your bike ???
Good video but turn off this music
This kind of makes me want to stick with mechanical.
I was used to friction shifters, so all of this sounded really alien to me. But I could afford a bike with SRAM Rival AXS at a bargain price on a flash sale (for what you'd get only the groupset!). When I found out the groupset was electronic I was a bit worried and pictured myself being stranded with no battery charge in the middle of nowhere, or that I can crash and the rear mech would be fried instantly with no chance to be repaired. But after the first ride I was sold: it's true the shifting process is really, really smooth and quick - and being able to see in what gear you're on in your head unit is a great feature too. And the battery life is not as bad as I was told
@@acidrums4The motor at high shifting speed can"DAMAGE" the standard derailleur hangers easily . I have seen this a few times .
Music is toooooooo loud! Can hardly hear the presenter
Ffs, why the stupid music ?
Great tips - but turn the shitty music off ffs!
"Slowly taking over the world... " only a small fraction of bike owners have eletronic shifting because of all thE thIngs you can upgrade for performance racing.. electronic shIftimg isnt near the top of the list.. and its very expensive.. a good set of carbon wheels would get you more bang for your buck. In fact, a good set of aero bars will get you a better time in racing for a fraction of the cost .
If I was stronger and faster like you I wouldn't have to shift so much but for now, Di2 is doing the trick.
Next time please DO NOT use such annoying music in the background. It's hard to focus on what you're saying!
Christ. What on Earth compels people to include constant, especially loud and bad music like this? I made it about 60s and decided that there was no way it was worth enduring.
Dude trash the annoying music cant catch everything your saying
Jesus!!! NO MUSIC NEEDED!!! That ruined your entire video!
E shifting is completely unnecessary! All this drives you away from the pure joy of riding bicycle. Stupid.
