Fun fact about Flicky on the Genesis. The cartridge size for it is one megabit or 128 kilobytes, but only 57-58 kilobytes of it are actually used. One mega power was also the minimum cart size for the console.
OH I KNOW! ;)
I didn’t have very many games on mine when i had it.. I just remember really liking the ones i had.. There was Keith Courage, Bonks Adventure, Blazing Lazers and a really good baseball game whose name escapes me.. It’s heart wrenching how i missed YS 1 because in this day and age Ive become one of the biggest Falcom fans.. I still can’t believe I chose this system over Genesis in Sep of ‘90
Please know again and again: You guys are awesome and a true gem! Always appreciate your absolute efforts bringing detailed information on all the games!! Thank you very much!
Wakle Skage....ha!
According to the game mode of my AMAZING LG OLed, ALL games running on my FABULOUS ultraHdmi N64 are 60fps 😎👴🏻
Theres something about a "graphically inferior" game that has equally good gameplay and even more features that came out years after the first. I like a lot of the gba games for this reason. I prefer the ps1 visuals to the ps2. I wish they would rerelease the ps1 but make it a ps1/ps2 combo, and actually make new games for the system. Give it online capabilities and a harddrive, and then we could play a lot of the multiplayer games this way. Sell the games in packs of like 20 games, I could see that being pretty successful. Those sega genesis consoles they sold a few years ago with a bunch of built in games were sold out everywhere. I wish they would do the same with the gba. The more games I play i'm realizing that new games just don't do it for me unless they're done in a retro style. Imagine if they made modern style games on gba with no limitation on the size of the game. It's just sad to think that we won't see any big budget games in these styles anymore, the limitations of the consoles is what makes the games so charming, limitations inspire creativity. A nice looking pico 8 game is more pleasing to my eye than photorealistic graphics but there aren't any large scale games for that.
bst channel! <3
Was there ever a version of the Master System that had a motorcycle game as the built-in game? I swear I remember my friend's system having that but maybe my memory is faulty.
So it’s like picking between dog poop, cat poop, or a mix of dog poop and cat poop?
More playing with sacks
The only thing I would like to add is be careful when collecting for the TG-16. Especially American TurboDuo's as they all have very weak capacitors. Those things leak all over the board, causing issues that, if not fixed quickly, will kill the console. The TG-16 and CD ROM ROM also have bad caps. The rule of thumb is if you buy one, immediately change the caps. That way, you won't run into any issues. At any rate, I know this video is old, but hopefully, this helps anyone looking to collect for NEC/Hudson's 16-bit console.
Loved Soulblazer and Illusion of Gaia. Great picks, that seal one I never seen mentioned but it looks fun
I can't believe Dave has been gone for 4 years already!
This destroy all Retro Gaming Channels! I am sure James Rolfe did not like it. The Sack Gamed them all!
Man, if I did not know the name of the Final Fight game, I would not know it has anything to do with the series...
You are really good at space harrier joe
If you want to hear a good Qix-style game, try Cacoma Knight on the Super Nintendo. It has that larger-than-life symphonic sound that the SNES was well known for.
Really enjoyed your list. I really want to play the games you went over, especially Bloody Wolf and the Y game. Played Castlevania Rondo of Blood and it is great.
So GEMs is what made the Genesis sound like Kazoos and farts (10:02 Or buzzing and farts). The sound chip in the Genesis was something out of an old Yamaha toy keyboard. The SNES had sample-based sound, which is why it had so many games with larger-than-life sound.
Soldier Blade is essential. Great pick.
'I saw this game on video tape made by my friend back then.' Wow this is even more absurd then the usual ' I totally played this game at 2 years old' we usually get ba Gen Zers who want to belong.
You forgot the other one ! The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck ! Also great !
I remember not understanding and not liking SUPERHOT. I bought it in an Indie game bundle, it was 1 of like 8 indie games. I remember it standing out visually. I only went back to it after I played through a few of the other games in the bundle and loved them so I thought I'd give SUPERHOT another go and now I know it's one of the most innovative first person shooters I've played in years! ❤️🖤🤍🤘🏾
Every game is my favorite on TG-16 compared to the utter SHIT that is Shit SEGA disappointment.
The adaptor at the back of the Sega Saturn would have been awesome if you could have play Genesis/megadrive and 32x games.
You have lost your mind if you think it's not okay to beat up on a kaykaykay, but it's fine to have pentagrams everywhere
Las dos últimas.
TG16 AND PC Engine? How about 18 (or so?) separate videos for each variation of the system released. :D
This game is like ghouls and ghosts with a little altered beast thrown it
I never actually realized that the system was prohibited on riverboats.
For anyone interested in completing Contra Spirits, someone modded it to make it closer to the snes version
cool
Where’s Dave? Miss that lil fella. 😢
Watch the sack reminiscing of Dave's thingamabob
Wait a minute....Spikeout came out in 1998?! Those graphics are incredible for the time frame. Look at Die Hard Arcade and compare to see what I'm talking about. That looks Dreamcast worthy if not a little under-detailed.
Shit I thought ps3 was the current one still
It's nice to hear somebody else get pissed about jump and attack buttons being reversed. That drives me crazy. Konami did that with the Castlevania and Contra collections
The Shining series?
Betty Boulders in Naughty Bits!
I felt that when Sega made Star Wars Arcade for the 32X they really dropped the ball. Sure it had an enhanced version, but things like the Italian Admiral Ackbar, wtf?
Okay, if you're going to call out Sega for Blast Processing, at least get the right Sonic game. It started with 2 and the advertisement was against Super Mario Kart. The older Motorola 68000 cpu had 7.16 Mhz. The new Super NES cranked out 3.5-something Mhz. I loved this generation console wars...and the consoles themselves.
NES Shinobi - Not authorized nor endorsed by Nintendo's Seal of Quality...if you believe that's a real thing.
im afraid Dave...
I know towards the very end it was satire or parody but anyone that says the Genesis is bad or sucks is out of their mind! 🤨 Well I never owned either (AES and CD.) and it is pretty cool but I’m not so sure I would put it on my top 20 consoles list of all Time! 🙄 Played Samurai Showdown titles in the arcade plus Last Blade 2 and played Garou Mark of the Wolves on the DreamCast ( Although it was called Fatal Fury MOTW.), it’s a toss up for me which Samurai Showdown is the best… SS3 or SS5 special! 😎 Plus the other two are some of the best fighting games of all Time! 🤩
I'm a Sega Genesis Fan not just SEGA
Ninja Spirit is one of my favorite games on the system. Love the weapon choices and stage variety. Nice and short for a quick replay every once in a while too.
That was an awesome episode, I’ve been watching for years and that was just one of the most fun episodes I’ve seen.
I’m so happy Gauntlet IV finally found a home, thank you Turbo 😌
To this day Sonic Adventure is still my favorite Sonic Game, I love really everything about it.
