I'd planted some golden sunrise seeds and I thought only one germinated and then got all it's leaves ravenously chopped by a slug in one night after I planted it out. I've put it back into my greenhouse tent to see if it'll come back but thankfully the heat this week seems so have woken at least one more seed in the propagator so hopefully I'll get to try some later in the season if I can get the slugs under control 😅

Oh yeah, blue is incredibly rare in nature. Very hard to make pigments. And that famous blue menelaus blue morpho... Well, that basically uses smoke and mirrors. Quite literally, It uses very specific structures to get that blue. Like soap bubbles, or cateye reflectors. And the cut flowers with dyed water is a classic crafts project. We've done stuff like that in 6th grade for mothers day.
