What are you going to do with it all ? Mosaic project in the offing ? :D

  • @EnriqueCuellarjoemero

Everybody has their own reasons to love this channel, but my favorites are:

  • @eloquentsarcasm

THIS is the kind of stuff that makes your channel so beloved. Just a man and his wife, strolling on the beach, picking up bits of pottery and having a ball. These quiet, relaxing moments you share with us can make a miserable day just a bit brighter. Thank you Mike and Jenny!

  • @President_Starscream

Knowing that it was a trend in the early 20th century to put radioactive minerals in all kinds of products, I wonder if that might be an atomic shrimp paste bottle.

  • @nancydavidson2295

The noise that the plastic bag made when you put the shards of pottery in it was translated by closed caption as 'applause'. Very appropriate.

  • @rossini138

Jenny has some eye. I can’t get over how she spots those absolutely tiny pieces among the noise

  • @mollynakamori

That's an awful lot of alliteration from an amazing Anglo of advancing years; affable, agreeable, and abundantly amusing as he is. :)

  • @rickyspanish492

That alliteration at the beginning was superb! 👏😂

  • @reijngoud

Looks like Jenny is feeling more comfortable around the camera. Lovely to see it ❤

  • @jensgoerke3819

Perhaps some boiling water straight from the kettle could crack the frozen nodule.

Such REALLY lovely pieces. Maybe make a mosaic outdoor plate or plaque/wall hanging, or cover something in mosaic for the garden, perhaps a concrete bench or something... That's been one of my pipe dreams for an embarrassingly long amount of time.

  • @philash824

I see jenny is getting used to being the wife of a CZcamsr, and being more active (not sure if that’s the word I want, but I’ve just got up), it’s always nice to see jenny, even though she’s obviously out of her comfort zone, she’s doing better than I would do 😊

  • @azteclady

I always enjoy these "friendly spousal competitions"; Jenny is such a good sport, and seeing you share fun moments and silly endeavors is lovely. Cheers!

Millions of years ago, well perhaps closer to 45, I found a cricket ball sized lump of something purple on the beach at Bridlington. Naturally we took it home and started rifling through encyclopaedias, remember books, kids? We found nothing of use so my mum took me to a local museum who identified it as amethyst. What the hell it was doing on the East Yorkshire coast is anyone's guess. They were quite interested and gave us what I loosely recall as a couple of quid for it. As far as I am aware it's still in the collection at Cartwright Hall in Bradford.

One of my favorite stories is how some archaeologists put together some beautiful ancient glassware from the smashed pieces meant for recycling that were in a shipwreck. That probably would have astonished the old merchants whose ship sank. That was a nice little glass jar,I'd be putting small picked flowers in it.

Hi Jenny and Mike and all of you in the comments! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I love these beachcombing videos. But then I love them all. Thanks Mike and Jenny!

  • @TomMannCenturia

The obvious fight you had with yourself about looking for other things like glass and fossils made me smile. Great video as usual, many thanks.

  • @WaddedBliss

The cliff erosion is astonishing. Such a short amount of time and so much 'lost'.

  • @ricos1497

Have you tried just asking the fossil to come out? Maybe even tempt it with a bit of cheese? Sometimes it's the most simple things that nobody thinks of that work.
