Hi Darren Can you talk about shipping fees, tarrifs etc. I believe this is a reasonable portion and would have to be considered as a factor to getting your product into the UK and selling on amazon.

Hi Darren, thank you for this video - I used it as a reference to get brand registered within 24 hours. I had everything ready and instead of submitting optional info like I was planning to and multiple pictures I took the advice and only submitted 1 image. The form has since changed so it did give me an opportunity to upload my logo at the start is well.

Would this work if I upload a photo of my logo on the package not the product?

To comment on your comments Darren, 1. Temu takes from 5-25 days and Shein 10 to ship yet they are a major threat to Amazon. 2. people are already aware the cheap stuff comes from China but they are also aware that all stuff comes from China. Those that care to not buy cheap, don't shop Amazon. 3. The fact that Temu and Shein are a threat to Amazon and all Western retail is that they sell cheap. People seem to ok with waiting to pay less. 4. Amazon allows Chinese factories to use Western businesses' pictures, even though they say they don't if your product is unique. It doesn't matter if their quality is inferior, what the customer is looking at is your product and is not aware they'll get a knock off. 5. Chinese factories are CCP subsidized and can afford to flood markets with ads which makes it difficult for Western businesses to even be seen. 6. If the US government steps in, which it should, China will still have Amazon to be their conduit to the US market and will still be able to annihilate US businesses as it has been doing since 2015. Amazon needs to be stopped too. 7. Amazon has always used small businesses to appeal to customers and to the Government. The fact remains, however , that Amazon has played a huge role in the destruction of small businesses and in helping Chinese factories. Chinese factories will continue to win but may have to still pay Amazon it's piece of the pie. The ones that will continue to lose are the small businesses. Helping China win over world retail just isn't good no matter who does it.

Most of the so called sellers on Amazon are Chinese factories already what this new service to China Amazon is providing is that they will not have to ship the items to US warehouses or directly to US customers but Amazon willl provide warehouses in China and then ship to the US in bulk thus lowering shipping cost and time and be able to better destroy US businesses.

There's a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary about Temu. The safety standards are terrible especially with electrical goods. There have been thousands of house fires due to cheap faulty products. Also some show safety certificates that have been faked and the products aren't safe. That'll be a minefield for Amazon

hasn't this always been the case? the difference was Chinese wholesalers have never listed directly on amazon as they don't want to deal with usa taxes and laws and petty small orders. shein and temu are full of Chinese middle men sellers just like amazon is. the difference is nationality.

Fully agree with that assessment Darren. This is actually be beneficial to us sellers. Big politics, big numbers, but we might be on the winning side, finally!

This is going to be harder for people who just slap on a label and ship to Amazon hoping it will sell, you have to now create a brand identity toward your product and treat it like a business brand.

De Minimis allowance is being clearly being abused to facilite the growth of overseas shopping apps. In fact I think a lot of online shopping platforms have being abusing the gift import limit for years ! That should worry the UK government !

Not good news any which way you turn it ... price increases (Chinese sponsored by the CCP don't care), more restrictions (Chinese don't care), we have to follow rules (Chinese don't care, they just open new shops if they get closed down), and they'll just buy the advertising too ... when you're alone or in a small company, it gets real hard to compete as even with premium products it's Amazon deciding what to push

Sorry,another question - what you are registered at companies house?? if i am just starting why would i be registered there? also i sell on eBay already so does this mean i have to use the same business name on Amazon assuming this is registered at companies house?

Don't get why LTD company? i already sell elsewhere but it's as a sole trader which is what i planned to set up Amazon using, i had a standard Amazon account but had never used so am changing it to a selling account and am half way through fillinng it out but the LTD thing has thrown me. Help please

You say 30% margin or 80% ROI - is that before or after factoring in PPC? I have 30% margin (just) but not before PPC. And not sure of the PPC costs… Why there isn’t some kind of tool for this by now - would be so valuable
