This EXPENSIVE Amazon Product Research MISTAKE is costing Amazon FBA Beginners thousands! I have been mentoring new Amazon sellers for over 5 years and this is the MOST EXPENSIVE product research mistake that new Amazon FBA sellers can make! In this Amazon FBA product research tutorial, I will show you the one thing you MUST be aware of when doing Amazon product research in 2024.
Amazon sellers are charged a huge range of fees by Amazon for selling on their platform and using their FBA services. Many of these fees are outside the control of the sellers, however, the fulfilment fee (which is often the largest fee) can be controlled to an extent.
The Amazon FBA fulfilment fee is calculated based on the dimensions and actual weight of the product being sold, however, this is not as clear as it first appears.
Amazon also calculates the dimensional weight of each product (Length x Height x Depth / 5000 = Weight in Kgs) and if the dimensional weight is higher than the actual weight of the product then Amazon will use that to determine the fulfilment fee.
For many products, this means the Amazon selling fees are higher than expected as the dimensional weight is often higher than the actual weight. Many new Amazon sellers are unaware of this and they often end up losing thousands in unexpected fees. This is one of the most common Amazon FBA mistakes as most sellers aren't aware of dimensional weight.

Why does it feel like the walls are closing in resellers especially new sellers like myself. Most brands that are worth selling these days are restricted and more and more brands are regating current sellers it’s starting to feel like it’s a losing game for most new sellers like myself
