I watched the series at the time. Some of it seemed a bit far fetched. Now? I think this should be used as mandatory training for all new civil servants, MPs and refresher training for those who become ministers. And RTD should be brought in as a SPAD if/when Labour get in.

It’s a very good idea, same goes for being on a jury and holding public office. Universal suffrage doesn’t work.

It shouldn't be an IQ test, it should be an exam on critical thinking. For example, applicants are given 4 texts to assess. People would then need to assess what the purpose of the texts are and what sort of aims the writers have. Doesn't need to be hard - just needs to be enough to see through Daily Mail level bullshit dog whistles.

Sad thing is that these montages are almost the only thing about the series that was watchable. The cliches flew hard and fast throughout .

Remember watching this show when it came out thinking “this is mad… none of this stuff will happen”… now much of it has happened! Russia invaded Ukraine, US overturned Roe v Wade, Israel and Palestine at war, financial crises, climate change worse than ever… if only we’d all woken up in 2019 and prevented all of this from happening

This was a flawed show, but a really interesting and prophetic one.
