Nice! This helped as I’m looking in marketplace for used pools. A lot of work though.
What tools do you need to disassemble like sockets or Phillips head
Hook a vacuum will suck the liner to the wall
Yep. It works well to get it placed and work out wrinkles.
I think just buying a bunch of plastic clamps from Harbor freight and string lines to hold the wall and liner on would be easy.
Thank you so much for this video, it was really helpful.
We bought a used and disassembled an above ground, it was all aluminum and we painted the supports and used ss screws, that baby lasted 33 years, of course at one point we had to buy a new pump and filter. We only took it down because my daughter was supposed to be taking care of it and every time I came home , it had algae and it took all week to shock and clean it.
Great Video
Why do you need a water truck. Why you can't just fill the pool with a water hose from the house water.
Hard to say he could be on well water which has a lot of minerals. Maybe just the ease of filling the pool quickly. Haven't watched all the video while making this comment.
Very informative video. Just assembling mine now, so glad to find this. 2 points I think should be pointed out, however. The first is on the clutch assembly. I believe that this is basically the same as other slip clutches I have on other implements. No matter whether the clutch is adjusted properly or not, the bolts should be loosened at least for the first use each spring, and the machine should used momentarily just to make sure the clutch plates are able to slip. They get stuck together over time, and that's a potential problem. Secondly, the bearing on the right side is a sealed bearing. Care should be taken so that it isn't over greased. If that happens, the seal is likely damaged. For greasing a sealed bearing, I like to remove the standard grease zerk and install a split zerk just to grease the bearing. Replace the split zerk with the regular supplied zerk afterwards. The split zerk prevents over greasing,
Late to game, think will work for old plow ridges?? some are fairly high...about 3 acre area of olf hay field which is now part of a yard..
Trying to match up komatsu wb146 loader hose ends. I heard they have a 30° cone shape.
2016. 3032r. Ive never needed to use the 2 remotes on back of my john deere. I just purchased a speeco 3pt splitter. The hoses from the splitter will not fit. I'm trying to figure out why. Obviously I gotta drop a size on the couplers. I didn't expect that but John Deere probably has their own size like alot of other things. I will watch your video and see if it will help
Cove Pieces, can those be used on a regular soft liner above ground
Even when I had used a puzzle foam, it did have fine lines and dirt. Ugh. And my pool not set up yet
My pool is 15 round and going on my usual cement slab like last year
Hey man, did your wall return back to normal once it got hot out again or did it stay buckled and you continued filling the next day and the water pushed the debt out?
It returned back to normal when the liner warmed up and stretched. The liners have a lot of stretch to them when warm. They’re designed a little smaller than the pool so they can stretch and for fit to the installation. You definitely don’t want to continue to fill it if the wall is still buckled. The liner has to be given time to stretch vertically so the wall can return to normal height. Otherwise, you risk tearing the liner or pulling it off the wall and then you’d have to start all over.
Awesome! Thabsl for the quick reply. I was in the same situation as you got my pool setup by 6pm and started filling in the evening. Noticed a few walls slowly start buckling. So I stopped filling. Just wanted to make sure the walls did in fact return to original position by itself or if you had to influence it. Thanks fort he reply 👍
@@fiftynation You’re welcome! Keep me updated, but they should return to normal.
@@JaredsShop did you tack down your bottom ring while filling your pool?. Wondering If I should unrsck my bottom ring and let the pool self adjust maybe wit would fix the wall buckling issue...
I do have a pool to disassemble how long did the whole process take ?
It took a couple hours.
I have the Stihl version. It so much faster in tall weeds. I recommend a shoulder strap, as it's off balance and awkward versus the string trimmer attachment .
Mine is Stihl as well. Glad to see you find it faster too. I sometimes use a shoulder harness and sometimes the both shoulder version.
didn't even wave at the guy on the tractor.
Roughly how long did the disassembly process take?
A good improvement over a string trimmer. The best, easiest, and least effort way is to spray with Round Up, wait 2 weeks, and then burn. You only need to do this two or three times a year.
Approximately how long does it take to disassemble?
Thank you for the video. How long did it take to take it down? Or if someone else might have that information. We are going to take one down just wondering how much time/days we should set aside for it?
It only took a couple hours. It wasn’t too bad with some help.
13.5 minutes for 5 of information, Please share a tuna salad recipe too , that should add 5 minutes
How long did it take to disassemble?
This video was very thorough! Thank you making it so easy to understand. I’m getting one of these pools installed and was curious on how to disassemble if I move.
May I ask what the size are the screws that hold the wall together ? I’d imagine them pretty small right ? Asking bc I will be traveling in take apart a pool and want to make sure I take small enough tools
We just bought a house that left their pool behind so this helped us a ton! Thank you!
What kind of tape please
I used gorilla tape, but if I were to do it again, I’d use foil tape. I think any rubber or plastic backed tape will stretch down into the seams and allow dirt to accumulate. Foil tape shouldn’t stretch.
@@JaredsShop I can see that happening. I love that foil tape and use it for everything
My wife was given a free pool so yes I get to take it down and put it back up. Thankyou for the help.
Awesome and congrats!!
Looks pretty simply! Thanks!
Welcome! It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I use my shoddiest extended pole hedge trimmer for tall grass on uneven surfaces and it it is night and day difference in time spent over a weed eater. On flat area I”ll use my cub cadet st100 walk behind trimmer with the extra thick line to lay it down and then use my Honda mower on the mulch settting to grind it small afterwards. This leave the yard looking cherry. If the grass is head high, I will use the hedge trimmer to cut the grass to about 3 feet and the come back withe the cub cadet and mulching mower. I am making three passes, but each pass is made with a minimum effort and makes up for time with efficient iency.. I take care of multiple ranches that range fro 3 to 7 acres. I take care of these properties to the satisfaction of my customers without needing to purchase a tractor mower. This works for me since I don’t have room to store a tractor at my house and I can quickly load all my gear in the back of my ford f150 and don’t need to tow around a trailer. This set up keeps me in business when equipment storage is at a minimum. So if it work and my customers are happy then it’s all good and I do all I need on a budget.
I’d like to get a walk behind string trimmer for the same reason. I don’t have much that I flat where I could use one, but it would still be very handy where I can’t get the tractor.
Ride better ?
I’d say it rides a little better but my tires are loaded so they don’t ride the greatest anyway.
If pool liner is only 2 years old are you able to reuse it ?
Maybe, but you can’t leave it out for too long. Liners that have been installed, and then removed, can dry out and crack.
Thank you for this. Going to take mine down tomorrow. It's really old & rusty and we tried to give it away but no one wants it. I'm going to cut up the sides & reuse for flower boxes.
You’re welcome! How did it go?
I have a very large above ground pool. It's lovely but a lot of work. There is no permit for my pool and I don't want it anymore. I want have an extension on my house but have to get rid of the pool before the town comes here for permits on my extension. Anyone want a pool?
How long did it take? I have one that I want to purchase but I don't know how long it will take.
It took a couple hours, and that was not really knowing what I was doing.
I’d rather not have motor on head as it will plug up and destroy itself ?
Great educational video!! This is the stuff of money 💰 savers!❤
Thank you!!!
and be carefull not to tuck the powerhead under your arm pit, this will cause overheating/shutdown,otherwise this tool is a beast and the branch saw works awesome!
run all your "big" milwaulkee tools with the 12.0hd batt and you will love em!
I haven’t noticed a difference as long as I’m running an HO. I have four 12.0ah, four 8.0, and eight 6.0. I grab the size that will get me through the job.
Your runout will lessen if you use a smaller drill bit, as more of the jaw teeth are engaged.
Did you reuse the old liner also?
No. It was stretched to the old installation and it also dries out fast once removed. They usually crack once they dry out.
Ordering this with two 8.0 high output battery’s today, comes with the edging attachment for free. Thanks for the review!
Also they have a brush trimmer attachment for super woody and overly thick areas that I’m looking into once I get to try it out myself
You’ll love it!!
@@JaredsShop It’s been great, the 8.0 has been good for getting my whole lawn without the extra battery but it’s always nice to have
I got this today! For normal yard work around the house I think it will be worth the money 💰
I’ve since added a second and agree. It has plenty of power and runtime for almost anyone.
Novice, replacing 2 spool valve from streight fittings to offset or 90 degree.
Why did you allow the dirt to go back into hole? Way too much prep video. Go to the action. Poor editing
The ditch doesn't look too extreme, it looks like a push mower would work just find. Then again I'm seeing it from hundreds of miles away. I've done the same thing and it is indeed a game changer.
It’s WAY too steep for a push mower. There are parts that are probably only about 15 degrees from being vertical. It drops off and is narrow at the bottom. I’d never be able to mow the bottom either. I also don’t cut it often enough that a push mower could handle what grows in there. My next purchase will be a ditch bank flail.
Is there a better head to replace the junk ones that come with it?
I haven’t looked into replacing the head on this one yet but would guess that it could be. Most use a standard thread size and pitch. I put an “ugly head” on one of my Stihls and like it.
How long did this process take?
A couple hours.
@@JaredsShop thanks!
