I think all self help talk is actually to get at something very simple, and thats simply that doing whats hard and having discipline is what delivers us to happiness. But its not enough to say this. Unless your one of the rare people possibly born knowing it, it has then has to be explained with reading many many books and listening thousands of hours of podcasts to finally get.
